HI. Not dead, just procrastinating. Enjoy this chaos.

When Mark woke up, he wondered why he was lying on the ground and not in his hut. He was wrapped in something cool, and he felt extremely relaxed. 'What a weird dream.' Mark sighed, if only the dragons had really come. He rolled over and saw six other multicoloured shapes scattered around the clearing. Shapes that were definitely not normal. Jumping to his feet, Mark noticed that it was his siblings and cousins and they had... WINGS?!

"Wake up! Hey guys, wake up! Check this out!" Mark shouted at the top of his lungs to get the others up, and when they finally got up, there were loud cries of confusion from everyone. "What's going on?" "It wasn't a dream?!" The questions continued to fly until Joy climbed up on a tree stump and yelled "SHUT UP!" Silence fell over the clearing, when Joy yelled like that, people tended to listen.

"Okay, so the dragons really came, that much is obvious." Joy began breaking down the situation. "This must be what that IceWing, Blizzard, meant when he said physical changes. We've become hybrids, sorta, anyway, first thing's first, we've got to figure out if there's any way to disguise these..." Joy looked at her arm, "I think these are scales."

Mark thought for a moment, "Hey! What if we just, y'know, thought about them going away." "Would that work?" "Dunno Ann, we can but try though, right?" Mark closed his eyes and thought about his white-blue IceWing scales turning back into skin. He felt a prickling sensation flow across his body; and opening his eyes, he found that the scales were gone and he had his shirt and shorts back. David blinked and exclaimed, "Mark! You're a genius!"

"And don't you forget it." Mark said as everyone made their own scales disappear back into the clothes they'd worn the previous night. "Hey!" It was Andy now, "What is we can turn fully dragon? Like, we can obviously turn half-dragon, so what about full dragon?" "Honestly, if we can do that, it'd be about the coolest thing ever," Ann said, bouncing up and down, "can we try it Joy?" Joy closed her eyes for a moment, then she grew bigger and changed shape. The process took about ten seconds, and there stood a fully grown SandWing dragon, venomous tail and all. She opened her mouth and said something very growly sounding. Mark's brain translated her words. "Guess that answers that question." "Did anyone else's brain just translate that?" Alex asked. "Yup," Mark replied, "guess language translation is part of the package?"

Joy changed back to hybrid and Mark spotted something on her left shoulder. "Hey what's that?" "That,' was a small symbol about the size of Joy's fist that appeared to be branded onto her shoulder, with black lined depicting sand dunes. Everyone had a go at turning fully dragon and back again, and they all got their own little symbol afterwards. Andy thought it might be a way to differentiate them from real dragons. But everyone soon forgot about that because as soon as David turned back to hybrid, he grabbed his head and screwed his face up in pain.

"You guys are SO LOUD!" Mark thought this was weird considering no one had spoken. "Um... mate, we didn't talk." David shook his head, "You're all saying, 'What's wrong with David?' and 'that's so weird." Mark blinked, "Wait, can you hear our thoughts?" He deliberately thought of Joy punching Robert in the face. "Did you just think about Joy beating the ever-loving crud out of Robert's face?"

Andy spoke up after Mark nodded, DUDE! You can read minds!" They were distracted from their really cool revelation by another really cool revelation as Grace shouted, "Guys look at me!" She was rapidly changing the colour of her scales. There was a chorus of 'woah' and 'awesome.'

"We need a way to protect our identities," Joy said suddenly. There was a question of 'why,' from someone. "Because I'm assuming we want to actually do something with this. What that may be, I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure this shouldn't be general knowledge. We have a code phrase for a reason." Mark closed his eyes again and thought of a mask, just around his eyes. He felt the now familiar prickling across his face. "How about this?" Joy paused, "That'll work, how'd you do that?"

"Same as the scales," Mark said, "Just think about it." He felt his face, and sure enough, there were scales. Suddenly, he noticed something, "You think this is cool," he said grinning, "Just wait until Joy and Ann find out that they have tails."

Hope you enjoyed,

Have a great day!
