Less than a week later he had entered a hip-hop class, tried to skateboard down a half-pipe, bought a guitar, went to the cinema, checked out an open mic night, went to a spa, had a picnic in the park, and bought new shoes. Why knew that this whole flipping a coin to challenge destiny to meet his soulmate would turn out to be so time-consuming, pricey, and slightly dangerous?

The upside was that Liam and Niall were growing tired of it, or maybe not? He was trying to find the man of his dreams after all but so far he had been unlucky. The two guys he had swiped right on, on Tinder immediately sent him dickpicks so he blocked them.

Then he received an e-mail on Friday. He had gotten an interview for the job he had applied for. He couldn't be more excited! An interview didn't mean he would get it but he was one step closer at least.

Liam and Niall were almost as happy as he was for the job interview on Monday and immediately decided that they had to go out to celebrate the next day. Louis easily agreed but that was the next day. He had only done one of his coin flipping for today, when he went antique shopping on his lunch hour. He obviously didn't find anything and it resulted in a quick hotdog for lunch and now he was starving.
"I wanna order pizza."

"Sounds like a great plan. Wait, our normal place or the new one two blocks away?" Niall said.

Louis knew what that meant. He flipped the coin.
"New place."

The pizza was terrible and Louis didn't find his soulmate.
"So this is what I don't get. If the universe brings people together and you let it take charge by flipping a coin shouldn't the love of your life just wait around the corner? Why is the universe giving us crappy pizza?" Niall wondered when they were walking back to their apartment.

"I don't know. Maybe he was there just before us but you took too much time combing your hair so we missed him?" Louis said, clutching his stomach. That pizza felt like a brick.

"Wouldn't the universe foreseen that?" Niall grinned.

"Maybe the universe was trying to set you up with your soulmate, ever thought of that?" Louis retorted.

"Nah, I don't think Alfonso the pizza guy is my soulmate." Niall smirked.

"You guys are giving me a headache with all this universe jibberish." Liam complained.

"I still have a coin flip left today so you'll hear more of it. Three weeks when I think of it." Louis teased.

"Worst idea ever." Liam muttered.

"Are you giving up because I have some pretty fucking good ideas of how to get back at you if you lose this bet?" Louis smirked.

"No way. When we get home you will either call a psychic hotline or a sex hotline." Liam said.

"That's tacky!" Louis shuddered but he stopped walking and took out his coin and flipped it.
"Phone psychic. Thanks, universe."

He googled phone psychics as soon as they got home and called the first one that popped up. He spent twenty minutes listening to Esmeralda telling him that he would find love in the most unexpected ways. At least Esmeralda wasn't his true love.

The next day he had to go grocery shopping because that was what the coin decided. He didn't find his man at the supermarket either. It was getting a little frustrating, to be honest. He was actually looking for him now.

He flipped the coin again before they were going out, letting the universe decide if they would go to their usual bar or a gay club that just opened and he was pleasantly surprised when the coin showed the crown.
"Yes! Gay club me finest gentlemen. Get ready." Louis grinned.

"Alright." Liam smiled.

They had accompanied him to a gay club before so that wasn't a big deal. He has the most amazing, supportive straight friends imaginable. They got ready for a night out and headed to the club. They had to wait in line for a while and Louis repeatedly looked around. His chances of finding the right guy had increased but so far he didn't see anyone he immediately clicked with.

They finally got to go inside and headed directly to the bar to order some drinks. They had a really fun night out with loads of alcohol and dancing. Louis had some guys flirting with him but he didn't feel the spark with any of them and left the club with his friends.
"Food! I need food! Let the coin decide. Burger's or pizza?" Niall asked.

Louis picked up the coin and threw it in the air but missed to catch it and it fell to the ground.
"No! Me magic coin!"

He got down on all fours and started to search for it. When he finally found it he let out a happy screech. He got up and tried to brush off the dirt from his pants before he flipped the coin again and managed to catch it.
"Burgers!"

They headed to the nearest burger joint.
"You guys order for me. I need to take a leak." Louis said and hurried to the bathroom.

He walked up to the urinals and unzipped his trousers. There was a guy next to him.
"Hi." Louis said.

The guy turned to look at him but he must have been a bit drunk because he turned his whole body and splashed pee on Louis' shoe.
"Oops! Oh God, I'm so sorry."

"What the...?" Louis looked up and made eye contact and an electric shock went through his body. It was the strangest thing. His eyes grew wide.
"Oh, hey."

He had this feeling in his body that this was it. This was him. It was nothing he had imagined meeting his soulmate. He literally had his dick out taking a wee and the guy just peed on his shoe. It was anything but romantic. The guy seemed to be frozen in place for a moment before he collected himself.
"I'll get you some paper. Fuck, I'm really, really sorry. I'm a bit drunk."

The guy hurried over to the sink and wet a paper towel. Louis had thankfully stopped peeing and hurried to tuck himself back in. This was just embarrassing. The guy came back and leaned down and started to wipe his shoe.
"You don't... It's okay." Louis hurried to say.

The guy got up again and Louis reached out a hand to introduce himself but then he remember that he just held his fick with that hand and the guy was holding a wet paper towel with his pee on it.
"Fuck, sorry. Let's wash our hands. I'm Louis."

He walked to the sink and started to wash his hands. The guy stood next to him.
"I'm Harry and again, I really didn't mean to pee on you. I was totally blanking out, lost in thoughts. You startled me."

"It's fine. I'm on me way he soon anyway." Louis smiled.

"Alright." Harry said and smiled too.

They were both lingering.
"Ehm, I better get back to my friend." Harry finally said.

"Yeah, me too. Me friends I mean, not yours. Ehm, sorry. Bye." Louis rambled like an idiot.

"Bye." Harry smiled.

They left the bathroom together. Louis watched as Harry walked up to a really good-looking guy. He said friend, right? Not boyfriend? Yeah, he definitely said friend. That didn't mean he was gay. Louis tried to remember if his gaydar had gone off but honestly, he had been too shocked.
