Louis rushed out of his room. He found his flatmates in the living room watching a movie. He grabbed the remote and paused it.
"Hey! We were watching that!" Niall complained.

"I need help! I'm taking Harry out for dinner at six. Where should I take him?" Louis stressed.

They gave him a couple of suggestions. He googled them on his phone and settled on a cozy Italian place and luckily he was able to book a table. He texted Harry the address and name of the restaurant downtown. He immediately got a reply.
"Phew, he says he loves Italian. Thanks, guys! Now, what should I wear?"

Liam and Niall looked at each other and then they turned off the tv and stood up.
"Let's check your closet." Liam said.

Two hours later Louis was out the door after trying on pretty much everything in his closet. He had settled for some grey trousers and a white long-sleeve with a bootcut so he could show off his chest tattoo.

Harry was already waiting in front of the restaurant when he arrived. They both said a breathless "Hi" and just stood there smiling like morons before Louis pulled himself together and suggested that they would head inside the restaurant. A waiter showed them to a table and handed them their menus.

The date started off as most dates did, a bit awkward but after they had ordered their deals they both relaxed and the conversation flooded easily. They asked each other the basic questions at first but as the date proceeded they discussed all kinds of topics.

Louis paid for them and they headed to the subway together.
"I had a really nice time." Harry smiled.

"Me too. Wanna go it again soon?" Louis dared to ask.

"Tomorrow?" Harry grinned.

"I have a job interview at five but after that?" Louis asked.

"Sure. My place? I can cook dinner." Harry suggested.

"Absolutely." Louis agreed.

They were taking different trains. Neither of them seemed to be eager to part ways. Did you kiss someone on the first date? Louis didn't know and he didn't want their first kiss to be on a sunky platform.
"See you tomorrow then." He said as his train approached the station.

"I'll text you the address. Good luck with your interview!" Harry smiled.

"Thanks." Louis beamed.

They said goodbye and Louis hurried to catch his train. He took a seat and watched Harry walk to the opposite platform as the train started to roll.

As soon as he opened the door to his apartment Niall and Liam came running.
"How did it go?" Liam asked.

"Tell us everything!" Niall demanded.

"It was perfect. He's perfect!" Louis smiled happily. "We're seeing each other tomorrow again." He added.

"Tomorrow? You must have really clicked." Niall smiled.

"Yeah. I think so. I hope so. Fuck, what if it's just me?" Louis panicked. It was too good to be true.

"Didn't he just agree on a second date tomorrow?" Liam wondered.

"Yes, yes, but..." Louis started off.

"Then you clicked. Relax, Louis. What are doing tomorrow?" Niall wondered.

"Oh, he's gonna cook me dinner at his place." Louis informed them.

Liam and Niall shared an amused smile.
"So you really clicked then." Liam snickered.

"Why do you say it like that?" Louis questioned.

"He asked you over. He wants to meet you in private, you know." Niall answered in Liam's place, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Sex? No, it's too early for that." Louis protested.

"Maybe you should inform him about that." Liam chuckled.

Louis looked between his friends.
"Do you think he expects sex?"

"I don't know. Maybe he just wanna impress you with his cooking skills." Niall shrugged.

"Yeah." Louis said, sounding unsure.

They spent the rest of the evening finding something for him to wear on his second date that would also work for his job interview. He was nervous about the interview. He really, really wanted this job. He knew he would be excellent at it.

He headed to his boring job the next morning. Harry had texted him his address last night, also asking if he had any allergies or something he didn't like. That was so considerate of him. He knew that they had just met each other but he liked him already.

He was looking forward to seeing Harry later but now he had to focus on the job interview. He had read up on the job description and Liam and Niall had pretended to interview him. He was as ready as he would ever be.

As soon as he finished work he was out the door and took the subway to the address that had been sent to him in the e-mail.

He entered the building and took the elevator to the fifth floor. He was twenty minutes early. He saw a toilet sign and snuck inside to freshen up. He gave himself a small pep talk through the mirror before he got out and walked up to the reception desk to state his arrival.

He had to wait ten minutes before a man in a suit came to greet him. He stood up and gave him a tight handshake and introduced himself.

They took a seat in a conference room where two other people waited for them. Louis shook their hands as well and introduced himself.
"Welcome Louis. We have all read your CV and personal letter and we find you interesting. What do you think you could bring to this job?"

Louis took a calming breath.
"I'm a decent football player. I know that's not what you're looking for, but I love the game and I understand it. Growing up football was a big part of me life like a lot of kids today. It should be a safe space for every child who loves to play. It's something I feel really passionate about and I want to be that person that makes sure everyone is protected from abuse of any kind."

An hour later he walked out of the building. It had gone well. At least he thought so. They would get back to him. He caught a train and headed to Harry's apartment.
