Anguish of Love

Chapter Three

Ella and I, as usual, ate at our favorite restaurant with our usual meal. The place was miraculously loud. When I roamed my eyes I saw some of our graduating seniors rehearsing for their final thesis. I looked at them na para bang sobrang proud. Someday I'll be in that position and wait for my turn to finish my studies.

We finally get to eat after ten minutes of waiting, Ella was busy with her phone, giggling.

"Ano yan Ella?. New crush?," I asked while wiggling my eye brows up and down.

"No! Look si Simon kissing our batchmate," I looked at her phone and saw what she's talking about. The guy is familiar, I just can't remember where I saw him. Wait. Simon?. Right! Siya yun! Siya yung nagbalik nung bracelet ko.

"Si Simon!," I almost shouted, Ella hushed me and looked around. I felt a little humiliated since I felt the gaze of some people around me. 

"Shh! Nandito siya and his friends, kilala mo te?" Ella while looking around. I looked for Simon and saw that he's truly indeed with a lot of people. They were a group of five, Simon and his other friend was facing us while the other three ay nakatalikod. 

"Siya yung nagbalik ng bracelet ko!," Ella gasped and screamed. Nagulat ako sa sigaw niya kaya napahampas ako sa kanyang braso. 

"Oh my gosh!," she shouted. It's finally my turn to hush her. She's so loud, naramdaman ko na naman yung mga tingin ng tao sa paligid. 

"Ella 'wag kang maingay!," Ella laughed loudly.  Nakakahiya, ngayon lang kami nag-ingay ni Ella ng ganito at ngayon pang maraming tao sa paligid. 

"What if Simon has a crush on you?," she stated while giving me some weird look. I faced palmed. Ayan na naman si Ella. She'll always link me to someone kahit maliit na interaction lang. She badly wants me to be in a relationship.

"Ano ka ba? Napulot lang crush na? Tsaka senior natin yun diba? Baka nandun nung time na may nag-aaway, doon ko ata nawala yung bracelet ko," I defended. Ella gave a questioning look. I forgot to tell her na may nag away pala at baka dun ko nawala yung bracelet ko. And I didn't realize that yesterday when we were finding my bracelet.

"What? anong away?," she asked. 

I told her about it. Sinabi ko na pagka-alis niya ay may mga seniors kaming nag-away pero umalis din ako. Nasabi ko din na baka dahil nung nabunggo ako tsaka nawala yung bracelet ko. 

Ella is delusional. She's giving meaning to some things that should never be given to. She's been fantasizing of me being in a relationship since sa aming dalawa siya palang nakaranas nun at maraming beses na. 

"Wait, nabangga? So it means na baka sila Simon yun and they found your bracelet? Pero bakit 'di ka nila hinabol para masoli yun sayo?, It really means na Simon has a crush on you," Ella, once again making up scenarios in her head. 

Napatawa nalang ako sa kaibigan ko. She's so funny whenever she's insisting something kahit alam namin na malabo. 

"Did I just hear my name?," Ella and I nearly jumped from our seat. 

It's Simon.
