Chapter Nine

//6 Months Later//

"Lan Zhan..."

"Mn" 

"You should talk to your father... don't you want him to give us his blessing to this time..." 

Currently, WangXian sat peacefully in the back hills while relaxing in the sun. It was from habit that whenever they were free they would either be relaxing or - 

Anyways...

Although Wei Wuxian didn't know the former clan Leader of Lan, he wanted the father and sons to meet. With him around it could strengthen them in the war if it happens.

"Mn do but do not know how to approach him... We didn't have a great relationship before." Lan Wangji said. He wanted to say more but he couldn't find the words. "Well, don't you think your father will be in the same situation?" Wuxian asked. "He too hasn't spoken to you or Huan-ge... I'll be leaving soon so please go talk to him. You have another chance to at least have your father with you... me... I don't. I know you regretted not talking to your father the first time. Don't let this second chance slip away my Zhan. Hm?" By now Wei Wuxian was facing Lan Zhan while cupping his cheeks gently. Lan Wangji smiled hearing his husband's words. Yes, he messed around most of the time. But in times like this. Wei Wuxian was really the only one who could help him like this.

~Later that evening~

"A-Cheng where is A-Xian?" Yanli had called the two over to have dinner together but it was Jiang Cheng who came until now. "I don't know JieJie but I'm sure he's coming so don't worry." He smiles reassuring her. "There's no way that brat would miss your soup even if he had to travel across lands to get here." Yanli smiled back as she set the table up. It wouldn't matter if they had to wait a little more. 

However, there was no sign of Wei Wuxian even after it was nighttime.

"A-Cheng..."

"I know Jie I'm going..." Jiang Cheng sighed as he got up and searched for his brother. 

Jiang Cheng looked around all the places in the Cloud Resess he could enter but there was no sign of Wei Wuxian anywhere. He had met Huaisang but he too hadn't seen him either. The Last option he was left with was going to Lan Wangji. He knew if anybody didn't know where Wei Wuxian was he would. Hell, he could even be right with him. He quietly walked towards Jingshi and hoped the Lan would be there cause otherwise he'll probably call it a night and walk back to his sister, telling her to go to bed too.

"Lan Wangji open up..." he knocked on the door. 

He waited and just as he expected the second jade of Gusu showed up with an unreadable face.

Jiang Cheng's POV

"Have you seen Wei Wuxian?" I asked and this time he was visibly confused.

"Wei Ying had left me a few hours ago saying he would meet you and Young Madien Jiang..."  

Woah he spoke a whole sentence...

.

.

Anyways...

"Well we were waiting but he never came," I said and he furrowed his brows.

"Have you checked-"

"Everywhere yes, and there is still no sign of him." I was starting to get worried. We stood there in silence. While I was again thinking of places A-xian could go to, Lan Wangji had a blank expression on his face. 

"Let's go to CaiYi Town he might be there." Lan Wangji said. Of course, why didn't I think that? He could have gone out to get liquor or whatever. I nod and the second jade disappears for a second to come back with his sword Bichen.

"Mn Let's go..." 

As we made our way towards the entrance we notice a woman running up to us. As I looked more closely I found that it was actually my sister and not some random woman. Her expression showed that something terrible had happened and it got me worried. 

"A-Cheng! A-Cheng! A-Xi-"

She stops trying to catch her breath. 

"JieJie what's wrong?" I question helping her stand. She composed herself before speaking again. "A-Cheng, it's A-Xian... he is in the healer's den with Lady Wen and Young Master Wen Qionglin." My eyes widen hearing that and I start running with Lan Wangji and Jie behind me. The only question that occupied my mind was...

What Happened?

Sorry for the short Chapter and the long wait. This book I will be honest it's not only the readers who are wondering what's gonna happen next...

I'm in the same position. I haven't really gotten a fixed storyline so I'm still figuring out where this story is heading. 

So let's continue this journey together and see where we end.
