Back To the Past

Chapter One

"Young masters are you in there!" A Jiang disciple knocks on the door. The disciple waits yet again hoping that the young masters haven't run away to hunt again. 

~Inside the room~

"What's going on?!" Jiang Cheng was currently panicking silently. 

Ever since he found that something was wrong he was full on his guard. His thoughts were confirmed when a disciple started to call him 'young master'. Suddenly Jiang Cheng hears a light groan escape from the other person in the room. "A-Ying!" he whispers yells. "Hey come on wake up! There is something wrong..." 

"Jiang Cheng..." Wei Ying opens his eyes. "Where are we...?" Jiang Cheng slowly helps his brother. "Here first drink some water you look a little pale..." Wei Ying takes the bowl and sips the water. "So-" "Young Masters are you in there... I have been sent by the sect leader..." Wei Ying looks at Jiang Cheng. "But you're here with me..." hearing this Jiang Cheng looks intensely at the door. "We'll be there!" Cheng yells confusing the other latter. "C-Come on".

~Jiang Cheng's POV~

I have a bad feeling. 

A really bad feeling...

I haven't told Wei Wuxian yet because if I'm correct then we have definitely travelled back in time! When I woke up earlier I saw myself in the mirror I looked... younger... and I can say the same thing for Wei Wuxian except that he didn't really change into his younger 15 year old self. What I mean is he's still shorter than me and there's still resentful energy running through him. The thing that did change was his face! It seems that through the whole travelling back in time thing only his face manage to make it. Whatever... 

"Umm Jiang Cheng s-something is wrong with Lotus Pier..." shock and confusion is written all over his face but who can blame this idiot. "Ignore that for now" I quickly say and drag him to the hall of swords. "But something is wrong!" 

I ignore his voice and enter the hall  dragging him with me. Though as quickly as I entered I stop seeing what was in front of me. Wei Wuxian bumps into me cause of the sudden stop but doesn't see what I'm seeing right now...yet. "Why'd y-" 

I don't want him to see them! 

No!

Who knows how he will react...

"Jiang Cheng? Jiang Cheng what's wrong... Why are you blocking my way?" I grit my teeth. "Don't worry about it for now..." I gulp hard feeling the saliva run down my throat. 

"Jiang Wayin just what do you think you are doing!" a strong female voice yells. A voice that I knew I would never hear again. Tears threaten to leave my eyes. "Jiang Wayin answer me!" 

Taking a deep breath I switch our position so Wei Wuxian is facing towards the door instead and I stare at my family. "Jiang Cheng..." Wei Ying looks deep into my eyes anxiously.

Ok... I got this...

*sigh*

"Okay, Wei Wuxian go back to your room and wait for me there..." I tell him.

"What's wrong A-Cheng, A-Xian?" Jie suddenly says. And me... My eyes widen with panic because I see six different expressions on my brother's face. In this situation, I look at my precious  Jie and then my parents and then finally Wei Wuxian who has frozen in place... This is bad...
"Jia...ng Cheng... did you...hear that...?" my breath hicks and I don't know what came over me but I knock him out cold shocking everyone!

"Jiang Cheng!" My father gets up and walks toward me both anger and confusion mixed together in his expression. "What is the meaning of this!?" However, before he or anyone can get close to us I pull Wei Wuxian close to me. "Wait...please don't come any closer..."

"A-Cheng why did you do that?" Jie questions. Should I tell them I'm not who they think I am...
I mean I'm no longer that naïve or clueless Jiang Cheng... I'm the sect leader of Yummeng Jiang Clan Jiang Wayin...
No...
"I can't explain it right now but mother can you release A-Ying from all his duties momentarily, I promise I'll cover for him"
They all stare at me and I feel like if I don't leave now I'll break down into tears in front of them.
"Fine..."

I quickly walk with Wei Wuxian on my back to his room. "I'm sorry but I won't let you see them before I tell you what's going on... and then... then we will together fix everything!" I smile as I lay him down carefully.

It's probably been one hour ever since I came only Jie came once telling me how Mom and Dad were discussing my behaviour and stuff.

 
"Jiang Cheng why did you knock me out" Wei Wuxian groans rubbing his head. "Sorry about that... I just..." he looks at me waiting for me to continue. "Did you hear Shijie's voice too Cheng..." the question takes me by surprise. "Promise me you won't panic or anything..." He nods slowly while looking confused. "Remember we were surrounded by a thick cloud of smoke" Wei Wuxian nods. "And then you used your talisman..." He nods again remembering what happened. "I activated two talismans since you couldn't breath and I threw some talisman but then after that everything went blank..." A-Ying says now remembering everything. "Well, somehow we actually ended up...umm in...in" "In my room in Lotus Pier?" He says trying to finish my sentence. "Yeah that and in the past...!" It takes time for him to process that news. But it doesn't last long as the door opens "How da-" I'm about to yell forgetting I'm in the past now but seeing  who it is I stop instantly. Both my parents with Jie quietly following behind enter and I hear Wei Wuxian gasp. "Oh so now my son too has the courage to talk to me like this..." A-Niang says.

The atmosphere is quiet and tense nobody really speaks after that. "Tell us what's going on now Jiang Cheng" my mother's voice is loud and clear just like it had been. 

"I-I will but not now..." I try looking anywhere but at them. 

"And why is that?" All eyes are on me and I can feel the pressure.

"Father...Mother... I think it will be convenient if we talked about this matter over at dinner" Jie says calmly and I am so happy she said that. My Jie truly is wonderful...

"I think that's a good idea A-Li..." Father pauses before turning to look at Wei Wuxian. "A-Xian are you okay?" I look at him and he's been awfully quiet. 

Wei Wuxian doesn't speak but only nods averting his eyes. 

"W-We'll meet you there..." 

After they are gone I sit on the bed opposite my brother...

"You okay?" even though I know he's not. 

"Are we really in the past?" he questions and all I can do is nod to confirm his doubts. "Then that means Jin Ling, JingYi and A-Yuan they-" he stops and curls himself into a ball. "They are gone... and Lan Zhan he..." 

Realization hits me as he says Lan Wangji's name. Now that we are in the past Lan Wangji doesn't lo- forget about love he doesn't even know A-Ying!

"Listen to me... it is true that A-Ling and Lan Sizhui and Lan JingYi aren't born yet but doesn't that only mean that if we fix everything they will have a better life." He looks at me slowly but doesn't look happy for some reason. "Aren't you happy we can fix everything..."

"*sigh* I am... but-" 

"We have to tell them"

"Huh? Tell them what?" he questions.

"That we are from the future..."
