*Sofia's pov*
We finally took off and headed home.
I couldn't wait to get home, I even missed my apartment a little.
The atmosphere on the plane was even a little better than the first time. How could it not be after that victory from yesterday? They turned the microphone back on. Raphinha started to sing again, but Xavi interrupted him. Someone took the tape out of the bag and they started taping his mouth. We all laughed and made fun of Raphinha. Everyone started clapping and calling Pedri at once. Nevertheless, he scored the winning goal. However, Pedri refused. Although we cheered for him for almost 15 minutes. During the whole flight, it seemed to me that he was switched off. As if he was worried about something. But it was none of my business. I didn't want to interfere. I just minded my own business, and sometimes looked at him.
We all had a great time and talked about the upcoming games together. Of course, Xavi told us all the time that we must not relax and that we must continue to work hard and train. He was completely right, of course.
At one point, pillows started flying around the plane. It seems that Gavi and Raphinha had an argument, so Gavi threw a pillow at Raphinha, but accidentally hit Lewandowaki with the pillow. Lewandowaki threw a pillow at Koúnde, because he thought he had thrown it at him. And so the pillow throwing fight began. We all joined in and had lots of fun and laughter. Everything was fine until someone accidentally hit Xavi. Oh no.
I spent the rest of the flight talking with Maria, Balde and Pablo T. The flight was quite interesting. And when we finally arrived, I couldn't wait to get into the taxi and head for the apartment.
Unfortunately, the airport was full of fans and paparazzi. Who surrounded us. Some of the football players signed autographs, and some immediately went to their cars or called taxis. I'm glad at least we didn't have a lot of problems. But in the end, the journalists came. First they headed towards Gavi, Pedri and Xavi. Of course, then according to the other players. Several journalists came up to me and started questioning me. I didn't know what to say and whose question to answer first. I've given interviews at fashion shows before, but I was always prepared then. I started to turn around and try to hide, but I realized that the journalists had surrounded me. I took a deep breath and began to answer the questions.
"Miss Sofia how is it working as an assistant to one of the best former footballers and quite possibly one of the best future managers and coaches in future?" is the first question I heard and understood.
"Great. I'm very grateful for this opportunity to work with him," I replied."Miss, what do you think about yesterday's match and would you change anything?" was the next question.
"I think our players did a great job in this match and I probably wouldn't change anything." I answered that question as well."Is it difficult to work with the team before the game and did you have a lot of nervousness, it's still a lot of pressure?"
"Our guys are great and really easy to work with. And when it comes to jitters, there's no room for jitters and nervousness."Everything was going pretty well until I got a question that I hoped would never be asked.
"Miss Díaz, rumors have spread that you and football player Pedri Gonzalez are in a relationship. Is it true? And if so, how does it affect your work together in training and matches?" someone asked questions. All other questions became similar. I didn't know what I was going to do. Nervousness started to get to me. I didn't know what to answer. I didn't want to answer. I just stood there and looked at one point. Questions came from all sides and they were all the same, about Pedri and me. I thought I was going to pass out...but then...Someone grabbed my hand and pulled me. That's when my heart stopped. But when I looked at who it was, I immediately felt good. It was Pedri. He made his way through the crowd and took me with him. He brought me to his car. I got inside and sat in the passenger seat.
"Thanks for the rescue."
"You're welcome."
"You know more rumors are going to come out now."
"And?"
"You don't mind?"
"Not really. Let them think what they want."
"If you say so."
"Do you want me to drive you home?"
"I was thinking of taking a taxi."
"No way. It's on my way anyway. I'll take you."
"Thanks again."Pedri took me to the apartment. I said goodbye to him and couldn't wait to go inside and rest.
