We were celebrating the victory in the hotel. I couldn't help myself, I kept looking at Pedri. He was laughing, he was happy. I haven't seen him so happy since we met. I was sitting with Maria. We all talked together and celebrated until late. Even Raphinha sang again, but someone cut off the electricity, so the speakers didn't work. Whoever did this, thanks. After the celebration, we all went to our rooms. Maria and I continued to talk a little more and share experiences in the room. The time passed very quickly.
Morning came very quickly.
We were supposed to leave around noon to the plane, then home. Maria and I quickly packed up. While we were talking, someone knocked on the door.
I opened the door. Pedri was in front of the door.
"Good morning." he greeted me
"Good morning." I answered him back. "Pablo and I are planning to take a walk and say goodbye to the city, so we were thinking of you two joining us." I turned to Maria, who was already giving me signs of agreement.
"Of course," I answered.
"Great, we'll meet in front of the hotel in five minutes," he said, turning and moving on his way.
"See you." I greeted him.Maria and I quickly grabbed some things we needed and headed for the hotel exit.
We walked around town and had fun. We had a lot of laughs. I felt really good with the boys and Maria. We took some korosan, which were still fresh and warm. Although we had a great time, we had to leave on time. We didn't want to stay in Paris. We had to slowly return to the hotel. We couldn't find a taxi. Then we slowly got nervous. Pablo saw some horse-drawn carriages. He asked the driver something, but quickly started arguing with him, probably over the price. It was quite funny because the driver used and spoke French and Gavi spoke English. Pedri was pulling him away from the driver, who was waving his arms angrily. Pedri went to talk to the driver while the three of us waited.
Pedri came back and explained that we would have to go in pairs. The driver told a friend of his to come pick up another pair.
"And how are we going to split up?" Maria asked.
"Gavi and you can go with the first driver, and Sofia and I can wait for the second driver. You two can tell Xavi that we will be late. If Sofia agrees." Pedri answered. I just nodded my head and confirmed. Pablo and Maria drove to the hotel, and Pedri and I stayed on the bench and waited for the other driver to come.Pedri and I waited for the other driver on the bench. We looked at each other in awkward silence.
"So, how's it going?" I asked, breaking the silence. I was a bit embarrassed when I didn't get an answer right away.
"Normal, how about you?" he finally answered though. I looked at him and he had a strange smirk on his face. I hope that was a good sign.
"I didn't have a chance to say, but you were excellent in the match." I praised him, I have no idea why. I probably wanted to keep the conversation going.
"Thank you, I didn't even expect that we would play this well," he thanked. We didn't wait too long when the horse-drawn carriage finally arrived. Pedri started waving to the driver who stopped when he saw us.
