Dirk:
"Mother, everything is in place, I will detonate at the appropriate time."
"Excellent! You have done well, this will get their attention. Do you have your escape plan in place?"
"Yes, I also have a contingency as well, ...um... besides the main targets there might be some collateral damage, a girl. I have no knowledge of her agenda but it appears she has some protest planned as well"
"What girl? Take a photo and send to me please"
Dirk switches his ocular device to telescope mode, centres the frame upon the girl's face and captures the image. Sends the image to Mother.
"Abort mission! Dirk abort!!"
"I am afraid it is too late for that" ,an explosion could be heard, "the girl is down!"
"What is her condition? Dirk if she needs medical attention you must assist her!"
"Analyzing, it appears that she has only suffered minor scrapes and cuts. There is a guard on route to her position"
"Dirk , you must intervene!!"
Dirk is pondering Mother's sudden irrational behaviour, but he cannot disobey. He prepares to mobilize.

She was stunned, her ears were still ringing, what the fuck just happened? Holy shit! Someone just killed them all! Cockroach went into self preservation mode, how to escape? She couldn't go back to the nest; the authorities might follow her there it would put the other members of the resistance in danger. She skittered around a corner, straight into an oncoming guard. Her muscle memory kicked in, knee to the groin, followed up by a wild arcing swing of the blood carrying backpack. It impacted with a thud and the cacophony of shattering glass.
