Alhaitham was reading at his desk, sitting peacefully as he read. That was until he heard some noises from the other side of his wall.

Kaveh's room is right next to his, so he would've thought nothing of it if he didn't hear someone yelling for someone else to shut up.

Alhaitham closed his book and stood up, deciding to check on his roommate.

He left his room and walk over to Kaveh's bedroom door, but he stopped when he heard someone getting up.

He didn't know what to do, so he just awkwardly stood there. From the other side of the door, Alhaitham heard someone opening a door and locking it.

Maybe he's just using the bathroom. I'm probably just overthinking everything. The cries could be from my music anyways.

It was a stupid excuse, but Alhaitham didn't want to believe that anything was actually wrong.

Instead of checking in on Kaveh, Alhaitham walked away from the door to go back to his own room.

~

Sitting back at his desk, Alhaitham couldn't stop thinking about his roommate.

He tried to get the other off of his mind, but he couldn't help but think about him.

Alhaitham had a little crush on his roommate. Ok, I lied. He had a massive crush on Kaveh.

He really liked Kaveh, but he wasn't sure if the feeling was shared by the both of them. He decided to ignore his massive crush on the other, and felt that it was better to keep it the way it already was.

That wasn't what Alhaitham was thinking about right now, though. He was worried for the other. Even though he brushed it off, he still thought about what he heard.

He was worried for Kaveh's well being. Kaveh was the type to be rather selfless, and he would rather help other people than himself.

Of course, Alhaitham loved that about Kaveh, but not right now. Alhaitham wanted to make sure if Kaveh was okay, but he thought that it might seem weird because he doesn't usually do that.

Alhaitham shook his head and picked up his book. "I'll just ask him later today."

Soon enough, the sun rised, and Alhaitham thought it was a good time to start the day. He stood up from his desk and did his usual morning routine.

Then, he left his room to have breakfast. Once he finished his breakfast, he sat down on the couch and opened up a book and began to read.

Suddenly, he heard a door open. He paid no attention to it and continued to read. That was until he saw Kaveh walk out.

Kaveh looked very different. His eyes were tired and puffy, like he's been crying all night. He has dark eye bags and he looked rather pale.

Alhaitham was very worried, but he thought maybe Kaveh stayed up late again to work. (Stupid bitch ☠️)

He watched silently as Kaveh walked over to the kitchen to make breakfast.

"What...?"

Alhaitham was a little surprised to hear Kaveh's weak voice, and he turned around to reply.

"What, Kaveh?"

He watched as Kaveh turned around with a scared face that quickly switched to a nervous and surprised (?) face.

Alhaitham raised an eyebrow. "You okay, Kaveh?" Alhaitham was genuinely worried, but he didn't know how to show it. He wasn't the best when it came to interacting with people.

"Uh, yeah. Sorry..." Kaveh responded nervously. Alhaitham was now more worried.

Weird, Kaveh usually doesn't act like this.

Alhaitham shrugged and went back to reading, but he wasn't actually reading, more like staring at the page.

Kaveh is NOT okay. I need to help him.

Alhaitham wanted to help Kaveh, but he didn't know how.

I'll ask him later today.

Just as he thought that, he looked up to see a sad looking Kaveh walking back to his room empty handed.

Scratch that, I'll ask him now.
