The wind was still when Li Susu woke up. The peach blossoms didn't stir. The lanterns, though lit, seemed too quiet.
As a goddess who had seen the rise and fall of stars, silence was never meaningless.
She stood up, searching for Jiang. she crossed the threshold of the small house hidden in the heart of the mortal realm. Her senses were sharper than mortal sight-she didn't just see the room; she read it, like the pages of a scroll.
The cushions by the window were undisturbed. The cushions by the window were undisturbed.
The cup Jiang drank from each morning was still half-filled.
Her spiritual aura-gone, like a petal plucked from the vine.
Her divine instict suddenly picks that jiang was not near her. She wasn't even in that area. Her aura was gone she can feel it. And suddenly a sudden panic rushed her veins.
She closed her eyes and placed two fingers against the wood of the doorframe. A golden shimmer of celestial light traced along her fingertips as she whispered an incantation.
Jiang's lingering essence flickered faintly, a thread of soulprint woven toward the east. She opened her eyes. There was no anger, only a cold clarity.
Li Susu: "She crossed the Mohe River."
After a deep pause, she thumped on the floor, her hand on her forehead. "I should never have spoken in metaphors."
But it wasn't time for regret. She have to find her.
She stepped outside and summoned a small mirror from her sleeve-one carved from stardust and godlight. In its reflection, the path shimmered faintly: forests, mountain roads, and finally-Sanguo Kingdom.
She vanished like wind into mist.

The Mohe River roared behind her. Tantia jiang had crossed it alone, guided only by half-stories and myths her mother used to tell her before sleep.
"Beyond that river, your father guards the stars," she used to say.
Tantai Jiang had believed it.
Now, exhausted, hungry, and lost, she wandered into the Kingdom of Sanguo.
Every face was unfamiliar.
Every turn is unfamiliar.
Yet she asked everyone she met:
"Have you seen my father?"
They smiled sadly, offered her sweets or directions, but no answers.
Then, she saw him-beneath a blossom tree, eyes closed, dressed in plain robes.
Something about him felt... right. Like gravity itself nudged her closer.
Tantai Jiang (softly): "Uncle... have you seen my father?"
Miang Tao opened his eyes slowly. He expected a villager, a merchant.
Not a small girl with moonlight in her eyes.
Miang Tao: "Your father? No, I haven't. What's his name?"
Tantai Jiang (tired): "I don't know... but he is tall, sweet and kind. Don't tell my mom, but she told me that he saved the world."
He blinked, stunned by her answer. Something about her voice twisted in his chest.
Before he could ask another question, her knees buckled.
Miang Tao (rushing forward): "Hey-hey! Little one?"
He caught her just before she hit the ground. Her forehead was warm. Her breathing-shallow.
He carried her to the nearby temple where monks greeted him, concerned.
As he laid her down on a straw mat, he sat beside her, brushing sweat from her brow.
She looked... familiar.
Not her face, but something older. Something deeper. A thread inside him began to tighten.
Miang Tao (to himself): Who are you, little one? And why... do I feel like I've known you before?"

Back to Li Susu
Li Susu's divine essence spread through the mortal plane like mist, trailing Jiang's faded presence.
She followed it through rivers, forests, temples-Until she reached the edge of the Mohe River.
She stood silently, eyes narrowed.
Li Susu (softly): "I used to tell you bedtime stories. But I never thought you'd believe them enough to cross this world."
She stepped into the river, water parting beneath her as time itself seemed to wait.
Somewhere, beyond the bend of this world,
her daughter had found her father.
But none of them yet knew-
that fate had begun to write again.
