I was planning mine and Tanya's first month anniversary when I got a call on my cell phone that I had bought and had kept in touch with my Uncle Charlie on. I looked at the screen and immediately answered when I saw my Uncle's icon next to the call notification, and seeing as my Uncle never calls me unless it's incredibly important, I picked up exceedingly fast.
When Charlie's voice filled my ears it sounded broken, as if he had been crying a fair amount. So as any sane person would I immediately asked what happened. The answer he provided was not what I would have expected, "Percy, it's your mom Sa-Sally is dead, she was found in her apartment with her husband, I think his name was Paul, on the floor of the living room. They haven't figured out who or what killed her or even why."
What I'd just been told left me speechless for what seemed to be an eternity, however when I snapped out of my silence, with tears like needles pricking at my eyes waiting for release I responded, "Th-thank you for informing me Uncle, do you know when her funeral might be?"
I was given an explanation as my Uncle heartbreakingly said, "Yes it'll be in March, I hope you can make it."
I responded to my Uncle's comment with, "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
The call ended soon after that.
I numbly sat in silence till I felt my love's hands wrap around me as she brought me into a comforting hug and we sat there for the rest of the afternoon till the maniacs known as Kate and Irina began their attempt to cheer me up, by doing something that I'd been dreading; wedding planning.
After taking one look at my face after they decided on their course of action, Kate and Irina each grabbed one of my arms as Tanya laughed at my horrified face, and followed as they forced me into the car. The fact that we were going to pick out the theme and venue didn't help my horror the only good part of wedding planning is cake tasting.
The venue we decided on was gonna be the beach that I proposed to Tanya on. Following the venue, the theme that was decided upon was a beach theme and for the date we decided on August 18th. It's gonna be a beautiful summer wedding with a beach theme.
We quickly arrived at the bakery after going and making sure that the lake had enough space. And since vampires don't care enough to obey speed limits we got to the bakery in the next town over in a matter of minutes. As soon as we entered the shop an employee was leading us to a special area in the back for cake tasting and design picking.
After we got settled some cake samples were brought out and after tasting 5 or so different flavors, Tanya absolutely fell in love with a more tropical combo: white chocolate, passionfruit. We then moved onto design after looking at a couple of examples in the brochure we decided on a four tiered cake. The first and third tier were gonna be a solid blue with a little bit of white detailing. The second and forth tier would be a gold and blue marble with fondant flowers and other fondant across all four tiers with a seahorse cake topper.

A few minutes after wedding cake choosing and designing was over, Carmen and Eleazar dragged me to go tux shopping, while Irina met up with her mate who was in town. Tanya went home as she was not allowed to see my outfit before the wedding day. We arrived pretty quickly as most vampires do not obey speeding laws. I was escorted into the store and then thrown into the dressing room as Kate rushed around and grabbed options that fit me and threw them at me and made me try on each and every tuxedo and show them each one.
