The longest Maya had ever gone without seeing her mother was 5 months

Maya was at her locker getting her books when Missy approached her

Maya turned around "I thought you were disgusted to even look at me".

"I am". Missy shrugged "But this needs to be said. I know you and Lucas are best friends".

"So". Maya shrugged

"So, I need you to back off! Lucas is mine"! Missy snarled

"What are you talking about"? Maya scrunched her eyebrows "I don't even like Lucas. We're just friends".

"I don't care". Missy stomped her foot "I need to be the only girl in Lucas's life"!

"Lucas doesn't even like you! He thinks you're a bitch"! Maya said

"Yea". Missy raised an eyebrow "We'll see about that when I ask him out this afternoon".

Missy pinned Maya against the lockers "Am I clear"?

"Yes". Maya mumbled locking down

"Good". Missy let go and walked away

Maya sighed and continued to put books into her locker

Lucas came up to her

"Hey Penelope". He smirked

"Come on, we have first period together". Lucas said

"Are you busy after school"? Lucas asked

"No....but I'm sure you'll be". Maya crossed her arms
