5 HOURS LATER
Lucas sat in the living room nervously waiting for Maya to walk through the door
It was pouring down rain and she hadn't come home yet
Lucas was worried sick
Maya walked through the door, drenched with water and covered in dirt
"Maya"! Lucas rushed to her "You look as if you just buried a dead body".
"I crashed into a ditch"! She held back tears "Lucas I'm sorry but you're car is destroyed".
"I could care less about my car". Lucas said "Are you ok"?!?!
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine". Maya said
Lucas noticed a blood stain in her pants
"No, no you're not fine. Maya you're bleeding"! Lucas pointed to her leg
"It's just a little scratch".
"No it isn't Maya".! Lucas argued
1 HOUR LATER
Maya sat on the kitchen counter with her leg up and Lucas wrapped bandages around it
Maya had changed into a white tank to and comfy grey shorts
"You're all good". Lucas wrapped the last bandage around her wound
"Thanks Lucas". Maya smirked "I'm sorry about you're car".
"It's fine, I needed a new one anyway, the brakes were terrible".
"Lucas.....I don't think I can be saved". Maya frowned "I have zero hope left".
"Maya stop telling yourself that". Lucas shook his head
"Don't you see how those kids treat me! I'm a piece of shit"! Maya raised her voice "If I left this earth the kids at school would greave for a minute and then go on with there lives! I'm nothing! I'm worthless! I'm fat! I'm ugly"!
"MAYA STOP"! Lucas yelled at the top of his lungs "You're beautiful! And if you can't see that then get a better mirror! Look a little closer! Stare a little longer! Because there is something inside of you that made you keep going despite everyone who told you to quite! You built a cast around you're broken heart and inside of yourself you signed it! MAYA THEY ARE WRONG"!
Maya just stared at Lucas "How can you still have hope from me"?
Lucas opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out
"Goodnight Lucas". Maya muttered as she dragged herself to her room

Maya woke up pretty late the next day
She walked out of her room, to see Lucas sitting on the couch almost as if he were waiting for her to to come out.
"Maya can I talk to you". Lucas said softly
"Sure". Maya sat on the couch "What is it"?
"Ya know Riley". Lucas looked at her
"Yeah she's my best friend". Maya chuckled
Lucas looked at her weirdly
"My second best friend". She teased and giggled
"Maya....I don't know how else to say this". Lucas sighed "Riley has been murdered".
Maya's smile immediately turned to a frowned "What"?
"She was found dead and buried in her own backyard". Lucas tried to be as soothing as possible "She was shot to death".
