A FEW DAYS HAD PASSED since Minhee had given a bit of "backstory" to maybe why Wooyoung had always been on his own and was secluded from the other students. But, Sohee knew something wasn't quite right with Minhee's story; she didn't know why...she just had this gut feeling not to trust her words. So Sohee had been trying to think of a way to talk to Wooyoung...without being super awkward about it, but then again the two times they had interacted, it was awkward. She would just have to try her best at making is as natrual as possible.
Lunch time had finally struck and Sohee had felt relieved when she had seen the time illuminated on her phone screen (she had somehow forgotten to eat breakfast and her stomach was very upset at her). When Sohee finally entered the cafeteria her gaze immediately lands on the table, where her friends sat, talking amongst themselves...but then her head turned the right and once agian she sees Wooyoung sitting on his own (eyes turned down to his phone).
Sohee stopped abruptly, eyes still trained on him as she went back and forth between starting a conversation with him...or just eating lunch with her friends. But of course Sohee being a little too curious for her own good (and also maybe hating seeing everyone blatantly ignore him), she found herself walking to where Wooyoung was sat. Then it was almost like everyone stopped what they were doing, to stare at the girl as she evetually took her seat across from Wooyoung. Sohee props her chin atop her palm, while his eyes remained glued to the screen (not realizing that Sohee had sat across from him).
A slight smile forms on her lips before she says "So Wooyoung is your name." The boy tenses at hearing his name come from her, before his gaze eventually truned away from the illuminated screen, to look up at Sohee. "I'm Kim Sohee by the way." She told him, but Wooyoung remained silent, not reacting to her introduction. He swallowed thickly "How did you find out about my name?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest "I mean...you are quite popular amongst the other students, maybe not for reasons you would want...but popular nonetheless." She says and Wooyoung doesn't seem to be amused as he riased an eyebrow...waiting for an actually answer.
Sohee cleared her throat, resting both her arms atop the table "My friend Dosom told me what your name was." Wooyoung hums in reaponse "What else did she tell you?" And in that moment she realized, that this wasn't the same who had offered those friendly smiles almost a week ago...he had put his walls up -tight and secure- and was obviously not going to bring them down again. "Ummm..." Sohee started, shifting slighlty in her the chair "She told me if I wanted to know more...I should do ask Ji Minhee." Wooyoung scoffs "You shouldn't believe anything Minhee says." He spoke and the girl looked at him questioningly, but before she could speak more Wooyoung continued "I guessing she may have briefly brought up, that we were close in high school." Sohee nods slowly "Well then...you have your answer-" He tells her, which just made her even more confused.
Wooyoung breathes out a sigh, before speaking once more (obviously taking notice of her confused expression). "Minhee thrives off drama...she gets close to you, just to learn your darkest secret and then uses it against you...making everyone hate you." Sohee remained completely silent, his words processing through her mind. "So Kim Sohee...I would be careful with what you share, with your so called friend." Wooyoung warned her before grabbing her bag and leaving Sohee sitting at the table all by herself.
An exasperated breath escapes from Sohee's lips as she leaned in the chair, crossing her arms over her torso. If what Wooyoung had said was true...then she was right to have that gut feeling about Minhee and also based off what he said...she could probably guess, that Minhee was the one that started the rumors. The girl stands up abruptly from the chair and began walking out of the cafeteria, suddenly having no appetite to eat anything.
After leaving the cafeteria Sohee had found herself in the library, once again studying for her various classes. A few minutes pass before someone sits across from Sohee; she looks up briefly, gaze locking with Dosom's. "I saw you talking to Wooyoung durning lunch...well-" Dosom laughs lightly "everyone saw you talking to him, including Minhee and she didn't look to happy." Sohee scoffs softly at her last comment "What did you even say to him, anyway...he left pretty abruptly." Her friend asked.
Sohee heaves out a sigh, while she set the yellow highlighter down atop her textbook "You were right...apparently they were close in high school-" Dosom's eyes widen slightly at her comment "Oh...actually when I told you that they were close, I was just kinda guessing and going based off of Minhee briefly metioning that he knew him back then. Did-did either of them say how close?" Dosom questioned. Sohee shrugged "Niether of them did, just said they were close. " She replied, making air quotaations she said 'were close' and Dosom nods in response. Sohee swallows thickly before continuing "So, you're aware of the rumors surrounding Wooyoung?" She asked, causing Dosom to laugh lightly as she said "Yeah...I mean who isn't. Why do you ask?" Sohee cleared her throat, shifting in her chair "I-I think Minhee might've started them."
