THE THREE YOUNGER SULLY SIBLINGS AND SPIDER WERE GONE. Tu'ahu and Neteyam were left behind, confused on where Spider, Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk had gone. All they knew was that Neytiri and Jake had brought the two along to fly.
The four of them were flying on their ikrans (Tu'ahu riding Loran, who was not far enough along in her pregnancy for the trip to damage her whatsoever) when Lo'ak's voice came through on the coms. "Devil Dog, Devil Dog, this is Eagle Eye, over."
"Eagle Eye. Send your traffic." Jake responded. Tu'ahu glanced over at Neteyam.
"I got eyes on some guys. They look like avatars, but they're in full camo and carrying ARs. There's six of them. Over." Lo'ak explained. Neteyam and Tu'ahu could see the worry etched into their parents' faces.
"What's your pos? Over." Jake asked.
"Oh... We're at the old shack." Tu'ahu looked over at Neteyam, wearing a matching expression to his.
"Who's "we", Lo'ak?" Tu'ahu asked her brother into the coms. She prayed that it wasn't who she thought it was.
"Me, Spider, Kiri... and Tuk." Neytiri gasped quietly and Tu'ahu sighed. She should've known where they were going. She should've stopped them.
"Son, you listen to me very carefully. You pull back right now. Do not make a sound. You get the hell out of there. Move! You copy?" Jake instructed, urging his ikran move faster.
"Yes, sir. Moving out." Lo'ak disconnected, and Tu'ahu followed Neteyam.
"Dad! We know a quick way!" Neteyam called over the wind, and their mother yipped, following her children. Tu'ahu tightened her grip on her bow, grabbing her knife for extra precautions. They landed quietly in the forest, quickly dismounting their ikran.
Tu'ahu and Neteyam made a move to go with their parents. "No, no, you stay with the ikran." Jake said immediately, turning away.
"But, Dad... I'm a warrior like you. I'm supposed to fight." Neteyam tried.
"You always tell me to wait for the opportunity, Dad. This is the opportunity." said Tu'ahu, hand clenching around her crafted bow.
"Neteyam, Tu'ahu." Neytiti said softly.
"I'm not gonna say it again." Jake put his foot down, and that was that. Tu'ahu sulked over to the ikran as their parents left.
Once they were gone, Tu'ahu pulled out another knife. She turned to her brother, with the deadly look that reminded him of their mother. "Grab your bow and some arrows." Tu'ahu demanded, putting her own bow around her body.
Neteyam didn't hesitate to do what his sister said. "We're disobeying Mom and Dad?" he asked, watching Tu'ahu tie her long braids into a bun atop her head as it began to rain.
Tu'ahu nodded. "These are our brothers and sisters. We go to them. Follow me." she commanded, knives in her hands as she began walking quickly towards where their parents had gone.
They knew they were close when they heard gunshots. Silently, they creeped towards the sounds of fighting. Tu'ahu pulled her brother down, whispering to him. "You find Spider and Kiri, I will get Tuk and Lo'ak." she said, and Neteyam nodded, pressing their foreheads together in farewell.
