THE FIGHT WAS HEATING UP, AND TU’AHU REALIZED THAT SHE NEEDED TO DO SOMETHING. As the submarine came for them, Tu’ahu paused in the water and let all the anger and grief and anger consume her. She let Eywa into her mind, and she heard Ronal’s words in the back of her head.
She let out a shout as she lifted the submarine until it began moving upwards. Kiri plugged into a large plant, and used Eywa’s energy to help her sister by wrapping the tentacles around the ship. Tu’ahu focused her next surge of energy on the submarine drivers who had emerged.
More anger, more pain, more agony. She pictured Loran’s dead body as she sent the two humans into large rocks, smashing them against them. She and Kiri released their holds, and Tu’ahu needed air. Aonung got over the shock and confusion he, Rotxo and Neteyam held and grabbed his girl by the waist.
Neteyam called an ilu, signing that he and Tu’ahu would find Tuk, Lo’ak and Tsireya. He grabbed his sister from Aonung and they moved through the water quickly. Tu’ahu gripped her bow, having an arrow prepared. Tu’ahu spied the three familiar faces tied up on the ship.
She pointed to her brother, and he nodded, directing his ilu towards the flaming ship. The ilu jumped into the air and Neteyam and Tu’ahu lept off of it, pulling themselves onto the ship. Tu’ahu immediately shot arrows at three avatars shooting at them, killing them instantly. “Neteyam! Tu’ahu!” Tuk cheered happily as she spotted her older siblings.
“Hey, baby brother. Need some help?” Neteyam said to Lo’ak as he began to cut Tuk free.
“You guys should start caling me Captain Save A Sully.” Tu’ahu joked, pulling out her knife to cut Tsireya free.
“Shut up. Come on. Get us loose.” Lo’ak said.
Tsireya turned to Tu’ahu when she was free. “Where’s Rotxo and Kiri? Where’s my brother?” she asked quickly.
“Kiri has them covered. They’re okay.” Tu’ahu promised. When Tuk was free, she ran to her sister, who knelt and hugged her tight. She turned to Tsireya. “Get Tuk out of here.” she said, and Tsireya nodded, grabbing Tuk’s hand.
Tu’ahu kept a watch on their surroundings as Neteyam cut Lo’ak free. “Lo’ak, no!” she scolded, seeing her baby brother pick up a gun from the avatar she had killed.
“They’ve got Spider,” Lo’ak said while Neteyam and Tu’ahu rushed towards him. “We’ve gotta get him.”
Tu’ahu notched an arrow. “Do we have to? He’s a stray, he’ll be fine.” she almost whined, wanting to find Aonung and get out of the ship.
Lo’ak nodded. “Come on. Come on, bro. We can’t leave him.” he added to a reluctant Neteyam.
Neteyam growled in frustration, standing and following his brother. He grabbed Tu’ahu’s arm, pulling her with them. “If we die for them, Lo’ak, I will end you.” she threatened, running between her brothers.
Tu’ahu perfect bun had not budged, and she was glad, because getting Spider would be a challenge that she was not prepared to face with her long hair in her face. They snuck into the ship finding it easy to do while the people were evacuating. The three Sully siblings were climbing like monkeys on the rafters, trying to get an eye on Spider.
