A Lying Witch And A Warden Pt.1

A week after we left off we see Luz standing on the sidewalk, in front of her house, as Camila comes out the door.

Camila: "Tsk. Oh! Oh, my baby!
Now, don't worry. Summer camp is only
going to be for three months". Camila says while grabbing her shoulder comfortingly.

Camila: "You'll be so busy balancing checkbooks and learning to...appreciate public radio,the time will fly by"!

Luz: "But I don't like any of that stuff.
I like editing anime clips to music
and reading fantasy books with convoluted back-stories" Luz says as she pulls out her Azura book.

Camila: "Mija, your fantasy world is holding you back. Do you have any friends"?

As Camila says this Y/n slowly sneaks up behind her wearing his normal clothes and a backpack.

Camila:"Real ones,not imagined or drawn or reptilian"?

Y/n: "I take offense to that miss Camila I'm a real boy". He says with a smug smirk plastered on his face.

Camila jumps and turns to Y/n quickly.

Camila: "You're more like a brother than a friend Y/n, but nevermind that what have I told you about sneaking up on me like that".

Y/n looks at her with a goofy smirk plastered on his face

Y/n: "Actually you never said that to me you just said you don't like being snuck up on you never said I couldn't".

Camila went to say something but she just sighed

Camila: "Y/n not right now. Luz summer camp is a chance to make some friends, but you have to try. Can you do that"?

As Camila said this Luz walked to the trashcan and set her book down in it.Y/n looked on seemingly disappointed in Luz throwing her book away but he cements on keeping his mouth shut.

Luz:"Yes, Mom".Luz says as her tone drips with unwillingness.

Camila's phone vibrates as she takes it out.

Camila:"Oh. I gotta go to work".

She kisses Luz on her forehead.

Camila: "Your bus is coming soon".Y/n will go make sure you stay safe till you get there. Text me when you make it".

Camila: "Cuídate mucho,Mija. ¡Qué te vaya bien".

Camila ushers out to her car.

Luz: "Bye, Mom".

Y/n: "Bye miss Noceda see ya later".Y/n turns to luz."Now Luz you good".

Luz looks off into space for a moment before turning to Y/n.

Luz:"Yeah I'm fine".

Y/n: "Don't try to lie to me Luz you know you suck at it".

Y/n sighs and looks at Luz before his goofy features disappear as his face looks more caring.

Y/n: "Look Luz your mom's just looking out for you. It may not seem that way and in my opinion this is a bit extreme but you do need to learn to pick your moments you know. Sometimes you need to put on a serious face so just try that for me no need to get rid of that silly Luz we all love. Anyways grab your book something thats important to you like that isn't fit to be in some dump".
