My head spun and for a while I couldn't get out even a single word. When I finally did all that came out of my mouth was a weak "How?" he avoided my glance. Betrayal. Betrayal was all I felt in that moment. "Why? I thought we wanted to be true heroes... together..." the moment i said it i realised just how naive it sounded. I could no longer look him in the eyes, stared at the floor as if it was about to give me answers, as if it was about to tell me all of this wasn't real, that this was just another of my nightmares, that I would wake any minute and Toshi, the only friend since I had gone to the orphanage, the guy I might have just started to fall for, would be there to comfort me. But the floor stayed just a old, dusty floor and Toshi didn't seem like he had kidnapped me just so he could comfort me."Izu, let me explain... You don't have to answer but please just listen, okay?",
I didn't answer. For one second I was tempted to pretend like I couldn't hear him like a little child, but then I made eye contact, and I wish I would have just looked away because there was so much pain in his eyes that I just couldn't look away again.
"I never wanted to talk about my past because of... stuff like this.
My parents were wanted villains and when a child was by accident born, they didn't have time for it or want want to deal with it and after a few years of giving me around their friends and contacts wich kept me a few months each, they simply dropped me of by an orphanage and after a few... difficult foster families I went back to the orphanage again, were I met you.
At this time I was already in contact with this... organisation and it kind of became my duty to update them on kids that might be potential recuts. I first didn't have great interest in you, but then I heard about your past with the bakugou kid. He was powerful, strong, a good recruit. And I got the duty to become friends with you in order to get more information about him. You remember how I always was on my phone? I just recently got notified that my parents had died and that from now on I was going to lead... what ever this is. Sometimes you would ask me how I got so many informations on the villains we were going to find and how I had got so many contacts to the darker side of the city, all the informants... that's why."After his speech he was just looking at me, but I couldn't say a word. All this time? How did that even make sense? He saved me from Bakugou... to become closer to Bakugou? Was all our friendship, all our memories, everything we had gone trough together, staged? Were we even friends? Did he even like me?
I kept quiet so he continued on talking "After my parents died and it was my job to take over the role of the leader, we staged the kidnapping. It was a easy, quick way out of this situation. I didn't actually plan on contacting you again, but now things have changed."
Things have... changed? First I didn't realize what he was even talking about, but then it hit me. The pro heroes. The probably following adoption. UA. "You want me to spy on them for you?" Silence. I had landed a hit. And never before I had wished so much that I hadn't. I just wanted him so much to start laughing and tell me all of this was a joke, that he was just messing around with me, but he didn't. Instead I started laughing. So loud and bitter laughing that I probably seemed cray, smeared with blood and tied to a chair whilst tears streamed down my cheeks.
After a while I had calmed down and looked up to see Hitoshi Shinsous frozen facial expression. "No. I will not." I giggled, still out of breath " I won't give the guy which faked friendship all these years long and wanted to abandon me until some heroes adopted me informations about the people I now proudly can call my family."
No muscle in his face moved "Is that your final answer?" A grin decorated my face as if this all was some kind of sick joke and giggled, probably looking completely crazy by now "Yes, it is. I will not spy on the people I now may call my family."
His eyes turned cold and he turned to the guy which had returned with the glass of water. "In this case. Bring him to his new room. And you might as well search him for more weapons. I can clearly visible see two more tied to his upper left arm, that you must have... forgot." His eyes seemed to get even colder and with a shudder the guy went to obey his command.
