Izukus POV:

I got dragged into a small, narrow room. The paint on the walls, which once probably was something like yellow, had begun to peel and the lamp was half ripped off, hanging halfway down to the floor as the constant smell of some kind of chemical stung my nose. "You are waiting here until he arrives.", the man snarled "Don't run away.", he said before locking the door behind him. Twice. How utterly ironic.

Well, I wasn't sure who "he" was, neither if I wanted to find out, so I scanned the room for a way to escape wherever this was. A old mattress on the floor, no windows and weird long carves in the walls. Looks like whoever was here before me had lots of fun before leaving. The two locks of the fully metal door, were two different ones. One old-fashioned key hole and one on the other side of the door which I caught a glimpse of before being pushed into the room and looked like you had to enter a code into it. All I was wearing was a bunch of borrowed clothing from Mr. Aizawa and the ripped up shirt I had hid my scratches beneath. Well, no one here that would care about that now.

As I started to unwrap the clothing, a nasty smell rose to my nose. The scratches were bloody, red and swollen as I didn't bother cleaning them up afterwards and bits of clothing that had stuck to it had ripped them open again, making the wound bleed again. Sighing I covered it with my sleeve scrunched the torn up fabric into a ball before putting it on the mattress to use it as a pillow later.

Then I sat down on the mattress and waited. I wasn't even sure what I was waiting for. Maybe for some heroes to burst in and save me, maybe for the little boy to sneak in to try and  torture me. And maybe I hoped that if I just sat there and ignored it, the problem would vanish on its own. I must have fallen into a light sleep because I shot awake again to the noise of the door creaking. Slowly it opened and the short portal guy entered the room, in his hand a bowl with water. He sighed "I came to offer you the joining of our league once again. It might sound like you are betraying them now, but at the end you are doing them a favour. We are doing them a favour. The hero system is corrupt. It doesn't work the way it does now for ever. At some point it is going to crash and then they won't have anyone to lead them. The world is going to be chaos, unless we are doing it now. With us as their leaders, we are going to build a better world. Quirk training for everyone, quirkless people getting the help they need, thousands of children getting saved from abusive families? Doesn't that sound great?"

I stared at him. He was actually believing what he was saying. Believing that if he killed hundreds, innocent people, robbing families their fathers and mothers, it would save thousands of lives. "No." "No?" he asked. "No." " You are decling this genourous offer?" I stared at him. He sighed "Well, I guess then you'll have to treasure this bowl of water. It might be your last for a long amount of time."
