The silence was unbearable.
It was like false hope.
It was like waiting for earth shattering information.
Not like, it was.
My eyes remained on his as I awaited his words. Speak, Izuku.
Tears began to fall from my eyes, and I quickly attempted to wipe them away. This wasn't happening. It's not happening.
My mind went over everything since he was here.
Everything began to make sense.
The time I took him to the gas station, and got bad looks for speaking to Izuku, as if I was speaking to myself.
When I got asked by the Walmart worker why I was buying a bunch of men's items.
When Macey said she didn't see anyone with me at the beach.
When Erica couldn't see him right in front of her.
It's not that I was the only one who could see him. He wasn't really here. A product of my imagination.
Tears streamed down my face as I recalled everything.
"You're fake. Aren't you?" I looked at him. His face was monotone. No emotion. Probably because there's actually no one there.
"You've finally figured it out." He smiled, sadly. My small tears turned into large sobs as I realized the last month of my life was fake.
Fake, untrue, a lie, made up.
He moved to me, and held me in his arms. I knew he was there but there was something different about his touch now that I realized he wasn't actually here.
I couldn't feel him.
He pulled away from me, and looked into my eyes, his color beginning to fade. His green hair wasn't as vibrant, neither were his eyes. His red shirt had gone a maroon, and his blue shorts a gray.
He was becoming see through.
"Y/n. You don't need me anymore. You've healed." He smiled, becoming more see through by the second.
"When you miss me, look up to the stars. Our souls will dance in them. You were my shining diamond, and I'll be your shining diamond from the sky." He smiled, and kissed my forehead.
I CANT FEEL YOU.
My sobs echoed as my whole body went numb. What was worse than this? One month with him felt like a week. It went so fast, and he wasn't even with me.
I couldn't wrap my brain around it.
I fell so deeply for nothing.
I was a crazy human being. I needed help. Help.
I stared at Izuku, I watched as he faded. I stared at nothing. I watched as nothing faded.
I turned to the sky, a bright star stealing my crying gaze from him.
The shooting star was similar to the one I wished for him from. It shot over the moonlit waters quickly, not knowing all it was taking from me.
Came from a shooting star, left from one.
I didn't have to turn back to feel absence. He was gone.
