Chapter 6 - i like the present

Samuel's POV

"Alberto, when my brothers and father will come back?" I asked while putting some clothes on after he told me that Max was waiting at me. I didn't expect that she will come today and it's truly surprising, though I'm kind of worried because it's her first time coming here and this house is massive.

"According to your father, he might be away for another week while your brothers will come back anytime soon." He explained and after hearing happiness fills my heart, although it would be perfect if my brothers won't come anytime sooner.

"Where is she?"

"She's sitting at the couch. I asked her if she wants something to drink but she refused and said that she will do it with you Young Master." And that was just a music to my ears, that my excitement to see her have increased ten-fold.

"Young Master sorry to impose but may I asked how did you meet the kid."

"Well, I met her when I was searching for Bella. Do you remember that day? And let me tell you this, something big is about to happen, so be prepared Alberto." I told him and I think he's not stupid not to know  what I'm trying to imply.

"Sammy!"

And again, I tried to correct her that it's Samuel but I'm quite sure that it's futile as she loves tormenting me with that damn nickname.

If my brothers and father hear it, I think they're going to turn upside down.

And now, as I look at her, she's freaking so damn cute in the couch! But she made me worry when she tried to get down so I quickly rushes her and spun around to my amusement and kind of forget about Alberto.

"I missed you, Max. Sorry for waking up just now as I went to bed so late. So, what brings you here? Did you face difficulty in finding my room? Tell me." I asked and if she says that someone hurt her, I'm gonna torture that person and making it regrets to be born.

And while she's just smiling at me, I think it's much better to talk about it while we're eating at the garden.

"Alberto, tell the servants to prepare delicious food. Me and Max will eat together at the garden so make it quick as I'm famished." I ordered in firm voice because his presence seems affect Max, as she keeps looking at him.

"Understood Young Master."

I heard him say and now that we're alone I told her to be relaxed.

"Are you afraid of Alberto?" I asked

"That's his name? No, I'm not afraid, I'm just curious why he seems so surprise seeing me."

"But it's truly surprising Max. No kid ever come here since a long time ago. After my mother died, this house became quiet. I actually just came back because of school."

"Sorry about your mother." She said as I quickly pat her head.

"Why you're sorry? It's been a long time and I accepted it. There's no use of mourning for very long because all people die anyway. My only regret was I didn't see her face for the last time and also my unborn baby sister or brother. Father said that it didn't make it which was sad and if she or he was alive, they probably the same age like yours." I told her while pinching her cute nose.

"Ouch! You're so mean." She whined while covering her nose.

"I'm not. Blame yourself for being cute." I told her before I carry her.

"Let's go at the garden since you like pretty flowers."
