Chapter 9 - the three brothers

Maxi's POV

"Father bluntly lied to us, keeping her a secret and made us believe that she's dead, and you think it's okay? IT'S NOT OKAY!"

"I get it but you don't have to yell Samuel or you might awake someone."

Is that someone, is me?

But should I disturb them or pretend that I'm still sleeping?

"Fine. I know that you're respecting father a lot, but he did something unacceptable. With or without good reason, he still lied to me." Samuel said and sounds angry.

"I understand where you're coming from but like I said, we will give father a benefit of the doubt, until then, the kid will stay where she's currently staying." And I'm sure that it's Mikee.

"Well that's your decision, I want her to be here 24/7, period. Just imagine living a life without mother, what more if you don't have both? Were you not affected when she cried after she heard the word family?Don't you feel sad about her living with just servants?" Samuel asked in painful tone, which I don't like as I always want to see and hear him happy.

"I'm sad Samuel, so f*cking sad and furious right now, but what can I do? Do you think I don't want to be with her just like you?" Mikee suddenly snapped, makes me jolt a bit. My heart is racing because what I'm doing is not good but I hope no one notices me.

"He's right Samuel and it's not that I'm siding with him at all but I've got the feeling that he did that to protect her." Gabby said calmly.

"Protect from who? Whoever the f*ck they are, I'm gonna skin them alive. Touch even a single hair of her and I'll send them to hell."

"That's the problem with you Samuel, always letting your blood-thirstiness get through you, eh." Mikee said and I think he's mocking Samuel for what he said.

And do they've gathered here just to talk about me?

"Stop both of you. This conversation won't reach anything if you're going to talk like that." And I feel like it's Gabby and he sounds frustrated.

"Don't blame me, blame your twin. And if you're worry then why not replace all the servants and guards." He suggestes and to my disbelief. He cannot do that.

What about Ellie?

"It's easier said than done Samuel." Mikee said, but I couldn't let this to happen. I have to wake up now and tell them not to do that!

"Please, don't do that. I don't like Ellie to go as she's the only one her family is depending on. And please don't fight with each other, brothers shouldn't be fighting. I don't know what's happening right now, but fighting will not solve the problem." I said before rubbing my eyes to not cry.

"Are you crying?" Gabby asked.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Mikee worriedly asked as well.

"I'm sorry Max, I think what I said was out of whim so just forget about it, okay? And we're not fighting."  Sammy explained and try to comfort me.

"But you're shouting the whole time. Why are you angry, Sammy?" I asked.

"So, are you awake the whole time?" He asked in disbelief and even I want to deny it, I couldn't lie.

"Yes but I don't know what were you talking about." And that's true because the whole time, my heart was pounding like a drum so I can't focus.

"Good"

I heard Mikee said in relief.

Soon, the three starts talking in way that I couldn't understand. Are they talking in different words so that I won't get it?
