Prologue: Endless Possibilities

Hello guys, just some information before you start to read!

This fanfiction will be playing in the MHA universe so both of them will have their quirks and everything. The only difference is their past lifes. Hawks will be known as his normal name Keigo but of course, his hero name will be a part of the story :)

Not long after the temperatures of Japan started rising, Keigo decided to take up a whole new job for the summer.

What would be best for a helpful optimistic man with a quirk allowing him to save multiple people at the same time?

The hero job actually, but he didn't like that. As a kid he dreamed about being a hero but soon he realized he wanted a job less exhausting. Plus his favorite hero getting outed as a heartless abuser kind of popped that fantasy.

"So, you're here to apply for the job as a lifeguard?" the old man said with a belly as big as a pregnant woman's one.

Now wonder this guy can't do the job, but who am I to judge? "Yes sir, i am." The blonde kept his posture straight and his wings neatly tucket behind his back. He hoped his pierced ears wouldn't be a deal breaker for the boss, well, today was his lucky day.

"Well then, how do you plan on effectively rescuing a drowning person with those big wings in the way bird man?" the guy walked around the office in his slippers and cap, outside there were at least a hundred people running around and splashing in the cold waters.

Keigo knew this question would come, and he had the perfect answer ready.

"I can detach my feathers and make them do whatever I please, including pulling people out of waters without even having to get in the pool. So a rescue wouldn't even take five seconds sir."

Impressed the old man nods his head, but still not completely sure.

"How about first aid, would you be able to resuscitate a dead kid?" Wow, he's saying it so roughly. Probably means he's had to do it before, how sad.

Again, Keigo had an answer. "I've done my lifeguarding license together with water safety and first aid classes, unlike many other people who work as a lifeguard at open pools." and boom he was hired. The old man took down his white cap and put in on the blondes head.

"Then you're the perfect match for our position, send me your license per mail and you're free to start whenever you'd like." a small amount of joy surged through him, he knew he'd get the job anyway but still.

Good, an easy job for good money. Just how amazing will this summer be?

"I'd like to start as fast as possible, do I need to bring anything?" "Let me give you your stuff, can you start tomorrow?" Wow, they need this position really desperately huh.

"Sure." Keigos shoulders relaxed and in the next moment he was given a starter bag and a plan.

He's got everything ready already, good for me I guess? "Your coworker Mirko will be thrilled to see a new face, she's been working overtime since the last guy left." The old man pulled out a piece of paper Keigo recognized as an employment contract.

He signed it no questions asked after checking his salary and done.

Takami Keigo, now officially a lifeguard at his local open pool. And most likely the hottest thing too. He turned back to the old man, who was now his boss, and said person crossed his arms with a smile of satisfaction.

"You'll be watching these people like a Hawk, got that? Always be on guard."

I like the sound of that.
