Disclaimer! I'm trying really hard to get into the hot summer weather type of mood but it's hard when there's a literal snowstorm in my region (was)💀

"Would you look at that, another day another couple of braincells to lose." Mirko grinned as she crossed her arms. Together with her new colleague she stood at the gate watching the people of all age groups waiting to be let in.
Keigo could only scoff at that. Doesn't really sound like a fun job eh?
He kept a straight back and a polite expression as they were walking alongside the fence. In these last few minutes of peace and quiet, Mirko rushed to give him even more details about the job. "Don't be too nice but don't be a pushover either and for fucks sake, do not forget to reapply sunscreen!"
Oh right, i should go back into the break room for that in two hours.
"Alright, I'll remember it." he was starting to get a little nervous, yet he didn't show it. Instead he just ruffled his wings and watched as people were let in one by one. Keigo had a great amount of confidence and it would not crumble because of bratty teenagers or helicopter parents.
His eyes followed the people, scanning everyone for weapons or forbidden beverages.
"You really take this seriously huh, that's good though. Tell me if you catch anything dangerous." Mirko whispered as she went to the other side of the gate, making sure every person entering was observed first. For a good amount of time everything went normal but then, someone caught Keigos attention.
The black haired guy with piercings.
The new lifeguard tried to make sure he remembered his face, but as he was watching him, he saw something sticking out of his shorts. The handle of what could possibly be a pocket knife. Shit, should I say something?
The sun was stinging in his eyes but nonetheless, he still saw how the guy was smirking at him. Having noticed Keigo gazing at him as he was walking by.
Yes, of course i have to. No matter who's son he is, he's literally carrying a knife?
The unknown guy had already turned around to the changing rooms, so he went after him quietly. His plan was almost held up because of Mirko pulling him to the side mid walk. She worriedly whispered "What are you doing, didn't I warn you?" and earned a sigh. Keigo made sure no one was listening and leaned over to her. "He's carrying a knife, you want me to ignore it? It's literally my first day and I do not want to get fired over some idiot hurting someone with it!"
Keigo had tried to keep quiet and luckily no one overheard it, so he gave Mirko one last look and a thumbs up before he slowly went into the direction the other guy went to. Mirko on the other hand slowly breathed out, trying to trust her new colleague to be able to manage this situation.
The blonde lifeguard was as fast as light and within seconds he snuck up behind the dark haired male who was about to enter a cabin.
"Hey, how about we have a talk in here for a sec?" Keigo returned the smirk he had gotten earlier, making the guy turn around in suprise. Their eyes met for only a second and without giving the other any time, he gently pushed him into the cabin and closed it behind them.
The unknown guy confusedly stared at Keigo, now realizing what was happening. His lips formed to a devious smile and he leaned against the wall. "Eh, you new here?"
Oh hell no, not with me.
"Show me what you have in your pocket, it's my job to make sure you're not bringing anything dangerous in here." Keigo clenched his jaw and crossed his arms to not look intimidated. He wasn't but still, why risk it?
For a good minute the guy looked him up and down, it made him nervous. "Tell me your name and I'll show you what dangerous thing I have in there." Uhhhh-
"Shut it, you know what I'm talking about. Give me the knife and I won't kick you out. Do we have a deal?" Now he finally seemed to understand.
"So you really don't wanna make out? What a shame." the unknown guy pulled out the so called knife and clipped it open, revealing it to be a pocket spoon instead.
What? Keigo was speechless, his completely bewildered expression put the cherry on top.
"Why do you have a knife looking spoon with you on a public pool?" - "The actual question would be, why not?" the guy couldn't help but smile and wave it around his face. "Very dangerous is it, a spoon?" Dear god, please put me out of my misery.
It took him quite some time to realize how badly he had embarrassed himself. He slowly went a step back preparing an apology when the dark haired male suddenly followed his movement and leaned forward, getting closer to Keigos face. "The names Dabi, you should remember it because no one here tells me what I can do and what not. Got it?"
The audacity!
"And what's your name, I bet it's pigeon or something." Dabi really liked playing around with the new hire of this place. But that was Keigos own fault, since he basically followed him into a cabin? Or not? "I'm Hawks and I will not tolerate any of your bullshit punk."
Wait, Punk? Fuck, he remembers these eyes. Dabi was the guy he ran over on his way to work!
Said person now gave him an even more evil smirk than the one before, saying "So you've realized? Took you long enough. Anyways, this 'punk' will definitely make sure you have a great time this summer." Dabi got even closer to Hawks, closely observing the way the lifeguards breath hitched in panic. Tooo close!
Then he just grabbed the door handle and pulled it open, letting the blonde fall outside and land on his butt.
Hawks was thinking about only one thing while staring at the now closed cabin door where Dabi was changing into his swimwear. This guy, he'll really make this job a living hell. I should have just stayed unemployed instead.
