"you should patch it up with ahyeon, ri", haewon had advised, wanting her to make amends with their friend. "yea, yea, i'll make sure to text her later. we just had a little misunderstanding, nothing too serious", rina promised as she bid haewon goodbye.
rina headed back to the hall, and as she navigated her way through the fields, her path unexpectedly intersected with lee jeno.
"sorry-- ohh, hi!" rina exclaimed, surprised by their sudden encounter. the sight of jeno brought a smile to her face.
"you still haven't texted me", jeno responded, his voice filled with shyness. rina's heart skipped a beat as she realized her negligence in reaching out to him.
"i'm sorry i couldn't find the time to text you", rina admitted sincerely, her words expressing genuine regret. there had been so much going on in her life that finding a moment to connect with jeno had slipped her mind.
"JENO! FOOTBALL BRO! COACH NEEDS YOU LIKE RIGHT NOW", mark's voice rang across the field, interrupting their conversation. unaware of rina's presence, mark's urgent call diverted jeno's attention away from her.
hearing mark's voice, rina swiftly seized the opportunity to evade the impending awkwardness. she turned to the side, to the grassland that seamlessly camouflaged her. the color of her shirt blended well with the surrounding nature, effectively hiding her from him.
"okay!" jeno responded promptly.
"call me, maybe?" he directs at rina, signing the gesture for a phone call before rushing off to join mark.
however, rina's flustered mind misinterpreted jeno's message. she thought she saw his lips form the word "baby" instead of "maybe." this unexpected slip of the tongue dusted her cheeks red.

as mina rose from her bed and made her way downstairs, a flicker of movement caught her eye. there, sitting by the living room window, was a beautiful white young cat.
the cat had somehow made its way into their home, which mrs. lee discovered as she entered the living room.
"minhyung! look, a stray cat!" mina exclaimed.
"let's adopt him!" mina suggested.
mark extended his hand and softly stroked the cat's plush coat. he couldn't help but smile, "awww, how adorable", he comments, drawn in by the stray cat's charm. he had to wonder if the cat had an owner though. concerned for the cat's wellbeing.
"but doesn't he have an owner, ma?", he asks.
"it doesn't seem like it", mina replied, observing the cat closely. "he pretty much looks stray to me. but if someone does look for him, we'll happily return him!", she explained.
"okay, if you say so", mark nods understandingly at his mom.
realizing that this moment was too special not to be shared, mina called out to haechan, who was playing in rina's room upstairs ever since they had gotten home from school. the two siblings played mario kart 8 deluxe for the whole afternoon~
