"She's not my biological daughter." she stated firm na para akong nabuhusan nang malamig na malamig na tubig.

So? She really is my daughter? Anak ko nga siya.

"It all started nung anniversary namin ni Lucio, we were both at Pangasinan that time. At ang mga bata asa states, when one morning habang nag lalakad kami galing nang villa namin we saw her. I panicked when we saw here sa dalampasigan. Her face, oh God..." she paused and I just looked at her waiting for her to continue.

"Akala ko patay na siya..." and that made my heart shattered. What have I done? Apaka walang kwenta kung nanay.

"Her whole body was burned and you can't even recognize her. She was barely breathing and we can't... We can't even touch her." she added.

I... I'm sorry anak.

"The ambulance and medic came then we rushed her to the nearest hospital. The doctor stated firmly that there's no chances of survival anymore and only miracles are the only thing that could happen that morning. And it did. God saved her. God saved my daughter." she said as she smiled at me.

"But it didn't stopped there. She had complications. And we didn't know her medical history pa. Some people said she might be one of the victims sa isang pag sabog nang barko noon. But nobody came for my daughter. Walang humanap sakanya and that broke me into pieces." pagpapatuloy niya. Nakinig lang ako kasi honestly? Pakiramdam ko ngayon I already failed as a mother. Sana pinag pa tuloy po namin ang pag hahanap at..

At hindi kami huminto.

"She had multiple complications and Lucio suggested na sa California nalang namin siya ipagamot. It took as months as she was undocumented. Good thing, her doctors here helped. I was hesitant but I suggested on adopting her to make it faster. Para gumaling siya agad. When she was fully healed she was beautiful like an Angel. When we asked her for her name, hindi niya maalala. Wala siyang maalala. And dun namin pinalabas na ako ang nanay niya." kwento nito. Hindi ko mapigalan ang umiyak at humagolgol sa harap niya.

"Kasama si Ella sa pag sabok nang barkong papuntang Boracay." I weakly stuttered.

"Ha?" nag tatakang tanong ni Tina at tumayo sa harap ko.

"Si Ella, hindi na namin nahanap." I added as a look at her.

"Anong pinapalabas mo, Irene?" she sternly asked.

"Nung araw na sumabog yung barko dun naka sakay ang anak ko. September 22, 2017 - siya sumakay nang barko. Base sa mga naka usap naming survivor na nakasama pala ni Ella. She offered the lady a money to be her "guardian" at dun napa payag niya." Pag kwekwento ko sakanya.

"I? I... I don't follow." maang maangan niyang sagot

"I think she's my daughter, Athena." I stated firmly with tears in my eyes as I look into hers, who's already crying.

She continuously shake her head denying everything I just said.

"Hindi! Hindi. Impossible, Irene!" she denied.

"Pero possible, Athena! Can't you see the resemblance of me and her? Sila ni Greggy? At yung mga bata?!" I hysterically told her.

"Anak ko siya." she stated firmly.

"We both know na hindi. Kahit pag balik baliktarin mo ang mundo. Hindi mo siya anak." pag tapon ko nang mga masasakit na salita sakanya.

"At anong pinang hahawakan mo? Dahil lang sa kamukha mo? Anak muna?!" galit nitong sagot pabalik.
