Pet raccoon

In which David keeps a pet raccoon (in this David is twelve years old & this was requested)

Third person Pov

One day David was in the yard minding his own business while his father was inside making dinner and came across an animal that was eating out of their trash can. He did the dumb thing and investigated and came across a cute little raccoon that he quickly grew attached to.

He gave it a name and snuck it inside keeping it in his bed room. The raccoon that he named Cindy usually slept under his bed and when it got cold would sleep at his feet. David often brought Cindy food and made sure Cindy was well groomed.

David somehow managed to keep Cindy a secret for two weeks. Then one night Kevin and Doug went out wanting to try out this new restaurant and left David home alone. David and Cindy watched a movie on the couch before Kevin texted David letting him know he was close.

"Alright cindy time for bed" David says before picking up his pet and going upstairs. "You stay here I have to go use the bathroom" David says going to the toilet and Cindy of course slowly followed after and whimpered once David closed the door. Cindy however made it downstairs to the kitchen.

She crawled onto the counter eating a bag of chips that David left open. A few moments later Kevin and Doug came through the door seeing the animal on the table. Kevin of course gave his son a hood tongue lashing for hiding the wild animal. "I'm sorry but please let me keep her" David pleads.

Doug agreeing with David and both begging to keep the pet Kevin groaned giving in. "Thanks dad" David says hugging his father tightly. "Yeah yeah just don't make me regret this" Kevin says.
