Reason #1

Your eyes said more than you did.

...

You were a silent boy growing up.

You always let your eyes speak for you more than you did for yourself.

Unfortunately, in this world, many were not proficient in eye reading like myself. So I took upon the task to do the talking for you.

But it was hard because every single thought that ran through your mind would spit out with your wonderful eyes. Those beautiful brown eyes would keep me entranced and eager to know more.

You always let your eyes speak, and I waited and waited for the day you'd learn how to speak without your eyes.

Yet you never learned.

You were always silly like that.

But I didn't care if you never learned how to speak for yourself.

I always loved talking for you.

But I'd grow tired of it sometimes. But it didn't matter much since your eyes did most of the talking.

The thing is...

I always knew you loved me.

Your eyes would always say "I love you," while your mouth squeaked a small "I hate you," as a sarcastic comment

I would patiently wait for you to confess to me

But that day came far too late.

That's why I couldn't love you.
