"Where are they going?" I questioned Lutch, my gaze fixed on the receding figures of Valan and Admiral. Papalayo silang dalawa ni Admiral sa amin at hindi man lang nagpaalam ang mga ito sa kung saan sila pupunta.

The moment my legs returned, we used the back and trail a little road leading to where Admiral was waiting with horses ready for our departure. Buong akala ko ay aalis kaming apat nang magkasama, subalit nang makaangkas ako sa kabayo ay umalis ang dalawa.

"Valan will be speaking with Sigrid," Lutch responded, adjusting the traps to ensure my stability on the horse. I had never ridden a horse before, but this one seemed remarkably calm, instilling a sense of confidence within me.

I couldn't help but feel a mixture of curiosity and concern. What business did Valan and Admiral have with Sigrid? What secrets and plans were they discussing? I yearned to be included, to have a deeper understanding of the unfolding events. However, I also understood that some matters required discretion, and perhaps it was best to trust in their judgment.

"Saan mo ako dadalhin?" tanong ko muli nang matapos siya. Lutch is surprisingly different at this moment. He is composed, and there's no hint of mischief like what he and Admiral do sometimes.

"Kailangan natin makalayo," tipid na sagot niya. Ramdam niya siguro na kailangan ko ng matinong sagot kaya tiningnan niya ako. "We don't know if Sigrid know about your existence. 'Yon din ang gusto nilang malaman ngayon. Kung totoo ang sinabi ni Valan tungkol sa 'yo, ibig sabihin ay maaring mapahamak ka sa pagdating ni Sigrid."

I recalled what Valan said. These warnings happened before the real deal. Naalala ko rin ang panaginip ko na nangyari din sa realidad ng magising ako. If these are forewarning, then who's commanding them? Who's protecting me? Or am I truly being protected?

"Selene, nakikinig ka ba?" Lutch's voice snapped me back to the present, breaking the trail of my thoughts. I turned my attention to him, realizing that I had drifted into my own contemplations.

"Yes, sorry," I replied, trying to shake off the lingering questions and doubts that clouded my mind. "What were you saying?"

Lutch's gaze held a mixture of concern and determination. "You need to stay focused and vigilant," he said. "These warnings and the events that have unfolded are not mere coincidences as Valan said. There is a greater force at play."

"I understand," I said, my voice filled with fear but a subtle hint of determination. "We need to uncover the truth and find out who is pulling the strings. I can't let fear or uncertainty hold me back."
