Leaning on the doorway
I remembered your sweet smile
You were saying goodbye
Though I pretended I didn't hear
I told you, 'take care' and 'I'll be here'
By then, I didn't realize
Tears were flowing down my eyes
Though you didn't see
What's left of me,
Were empty words
Spoken by broken lips
Felt by a broken heart
That's when we've part
That once sunny sky was shaded
My memories of you has faded
But my love for you is never-ending
Though these barriers keep on burdening
My heart that's on the point of breaking
For being strong that I've been faking
When all I need is your arms around me
And telling me, 'you won't be lonely'
If only these one thousand paper cranes
Fly from between my windowpane
To where you are right now, my love
To me, a gift sent from above
So that you could also find
Your other half that was left behind
I'm leaning on our doorway, still
Ignoring the winter's chill
Waiting for you to come back home
By then, I would've finished this poem
Be careful of the paths you'd take
So I could see you when I wake
Don't let your memory of me loose
Whichever road you will soon choose
And when you've finally found your way
Come back to me and forever stay
