"Mental scars and wounds never counted, look at you otherwise you would be in the hospital too"
They all soon reached me and I realized there is no way I can reach that temple all by myself as I don't know where this fort's exit is.
They all huffed when they reached me and couldn't say anything."Why are you running ranisaa, is something wrong?"
"Can you tell me where I fainted?"
I paced out my words using pure Hindi terminology but I still can tell I didn't use the right words her face was telling me but she understand though which mattered.
"yes, you fainted at the temple".
I threw questions at her with utmost care any wrong step here can take me directly to death's door.
"was it shiv temple, I couldn't properly recall".
"yes".She finally started taking breaths normally and replied after taking a moment, I don't think she doubt me.
"Please can you take me there"?
I pleaded in front of her by joining my hands, only that temple can provide solutions to my newly formed doubts.
"Why do you wanna visit shiv temple again?"
She didn't move her lips neither it was her voice, I spin around,
It was a lady who was wearing a similar texture as that arrogant punk with two ladies following her who may be her dasi's she looked directly into my eyes and asked me.I will not lie she looked like someone of a strong personality, like people who look in your eyes and can tell in one go that you are lying.
"What happened bahuranisaa, why you are not replying, and why are you running around in the palace in this condition?"
I looked at myself my hair was open and although I was wearing expensive stuff like her but there was no jewelry on me and her hair was properly tied and mine was open and was looking like a mess from all running and I kinda look like a beggar in front of her.
I wasn't scared but I couldn't answer her either, her aura was yelling at me that if I opened my mouth in front of her she will find out for sure that I am not the owner of this body.
She looked at the old lady and for a moment I felt like she exchanged nonverbal communication which make the elderly scared and I can see fear in her eye.
"Can you explain to me what is happening here"?
She asked her again this time verbally.
" I don't know mahranisaa, ranisaa just woke up and start running and now she wants me to take her to shiv temple".
She answered in one breath with her head down, she is going to get her neck crooked at this rate.
Mahranisaa looked at me and smiled, and I finally released breath which I wasn't aware I was holding til now." I'll take you there but first let vaid ji check you, we all were afraid after yesterday's incident".
She completed and diverted her eyes from me to all dasis.
"take her to her chamber I'll come there with vaid ji in a minute"
They all nod and I have to head again in the same direction I ran a just a few minutes ago the poor pigeon's escape mission failed miserably and have to return to his cage.
I am already hating this chamber luxury never quite appeals to me, I like my things simple and subtle. They again make me sit on the same coffin or bed where I was a few minutes ago, but it's so comfortable I like to rephrase my sentence I hate this chamber except this bedAfter a short while, the rich old woman or mahranisaa enter the chamber with a man in his 40s following me he nod slightly at me, I guess he was a doctor
When I tried to get up from my position, he nod negatively and stopped me from doing so."no need".
Instantly came out of his mouth.
He was carrying a bag which seems to be made from khadi or I don't know what and his clothes were simple with hair till shoulders and a cloth wrapped on his headHe sat near me and start pulling a few things out of his bag such as tongs, scalpels, catheters, needles, etc. wait, what he trying to do to me, is he going to perform an operation, I was just fainted and wasn't in coma.
I gulped which he notice, I think now he for sure is going to use a needle to stitch my mouth.
He smiled at me and take out a small potli and put everything back in his bag and I finally sigh with relief. He examined me as a whole and check my veins and vitals then he takes some grey or white stuff out of that potli and apply it to my forehead and after a minute he instructed a dasi to clean it.
After a few minutes, he stops examining me and look at mahranisaa"I've checked pratyaksa (direct perception) and anumana (inference). Everything seems normal and i don't think anything is wrong with her physically, now I wanted to take your permission for prasna (oral question from the patient)".
I don't catch a single thing is he talking In Sanskrit? Or what I can't really understand because I've been always weak in Sanskrit only if I had opted for Sanskrit in place of drawing in the sixth standard, I never regretted my decision this much before.
Mahranisaa nodded slightly and I guess granted permission to him for whatever he was demanding, don't tell me he is going to inject something in my eyes or nose, I don't know how doctors used to operate in ancient times.
"do you know me"?
I was so indulged in my own thoughts that I didn't notice he was questioning me.
"you are vaid ji"
I replied slowly, with putting two and two together of all vocabulary I was aware of.
"what is my name"? I am official vaid of the palace and I have treated you many times since your childhood and you know my name."
"I don't know"?
I chose to reply honestly, there is no room for lying I can't guess his name, and classical name was used to tough too.
He points at mahranisaa"do you know who she is"?
" mahranisaa"?
" who is she"He points at the elder lady.
"I don't know".
I replied again, disappointment and shock were clearly what everyone was wearing on their faces.
"This is the last question and I expect you to know this at least".
He takes a deep breath and stares at me directly with his dark eyes
"What is your name"?
"Devika".I replied looking away from that eyes And everyone gasped as if they have seen a dead person walking.
"Can you tell me again what is your name"?
"Devika"I looked wide-eyed at him and others
"I think you can rest now ranisaa".
He replied calmly and with a slight smile but even that smile couldn't untie the knock that have been tied in my stomach from the stare I was getting from everyone I know I am in huge trouble and this is just beginning.
