"Being alone and cutting oneself off from the outside world just intensifies your sense of loneliness. A relationship gets stronger through opening up to a loved one when you're feeling vulnerable and letting them into your heart".
"Prohit ji's associate checked on her today and reported that she had been the victim of black magic,"
He was speechless as he stood there, unsure of what his mother wanted of him.
"He said he can't know for sure how much damage has been done to her, and neither you nor I know how much pain she is in, yet all you have are complaints,"
'mother"
While he whispers, his eyes are filled with an unfamiliar emotion.
"She could have died today, can you be any more inhuman; it's only been two days since you wed and half the palace knows your hatred towards her"
She wasn't as stern or as loud as she had been the previous time, but she did have tears in her eyes and a sense of shame.
"inhuman?"
"inhuman? mother...... You expect compassion from me, dear mother, don't you? You are sympathising with her but you never did with me, which is ironic given the type of person you reared me to be".
He was speaking calmly, but something about him caused Mahranisaa to avert her gaze; after all he was right, she had never felt sympathy for him throughout all these years..
"You said to me that a king has no right to put his feelings before his people, didn't you, and now I can't feel at all, and dear mother you are responsible for the birth of this inhuman son of yours,"
After saying so, he left the room, and Mahranisaa suddenly realised that she was to blame for Anjua and vikram's suffering.
.
"I hate you more than I hate her because you gave her love and support that should have been mine."He thought to himself,
Devika didn't wake up for almost two hours, and when she did, she was all alone in strange surroundings. If her memory hadn't been playing a joke on her for the past few days, Devika had no business being in that room, much less the sixteenth or twenty-first centuries.
"It seems like it's become a ritual for me to pass out and wake up in a different room; my life is playing with me "guess where we are?". This is totally over for me.
Throwing the blanket away, she made an effort to get out of the bed, which was much cosier than the one in her room and even the carpet felt silky to her feet.
Every step she made became softer; the space was light blue and had a welcoming atmosphere. It felt as though the bottoms of her feet were brushing against a cloud. It was divided into two sections and was larger than her room; the other area of the room resembled a library and included a sizable desk and sofas that matched the window treatments.
The space has a regal café-like atmosphere, She couldn't help but run her fingers through the books, which were neatly stacked and devoid of dust, suddenly her gaze shifts to the window, the only source of glittering light in the room without any lamps and she approaches it while keeping her eyes closed as though she wanted to feel the sun's beams on her face ,She gently opens her eyes and looks out the window, which can provide a view of the entire state and allow her to easily see the sea and the area outside the palace. The window appears to be a doorway to another planet.
It all appears to be so beautiful from here, I wish I had this room.
She murmured gently to herself as though she were praying in silence to God.
She heard footsteps on the floor and turned to see Vikram standing directly in front of her. She was taken aback and attempted to walk away, but her back accidentally hit the side wall of the window.
"What on earth are you doing in my room?"
He was asked a question by her, and his steady gaze caught her wide-eyed response.
'yours? Are you sure?"
She looked away from his face to the surroundings after he spoke while bending to meet her small frame while his hand was pressed back, realising it was not her.
"how I ended up here?'
She wasn't sure if she asked Vikram or herself when she said that.
"by igniting the kitchen"He responded calmly by backing up a little. She remembered how she was meant to put oil in the dish, but her hand slipped a little and fire broke out. She also remembered how he ripped her dupatta and showed out of nowhere. Her cheeks also went crimson.
"What happened?"
His eyes was fixed on her changing-color cheeks as he questioned while gazing at her face.
"Nothing"
She replied gradually.
"If nothing, you should depart from my room since I need to handle a few political inquiries before breakfast.
She nod slowly, he finally got a good look at her and saw that her garments were ripped from where he tore her dupatta, and her skirt was also partially burned. She was going to leave when he grabbed her wrist."I will send dasi, change your clothes first before leaving the chamber"
, she looked at herself and realized why he said that, she nodded again. When he released her hand, she swiftly grabbed it back with both hands.
"Do you have anything to say to me?"
She was certain he would insult her later in front of everyone, so it would be better if she received it here rather than then.
She arched her brow.
"I mean.."
"No"Without realising what she anticipates, he said simply, she asked again
"You know, I just..... I mean, a major incident occurred, yet?"
Yet again, he was confused.
"Do you really want me to feel sorry for you after what you did and worry about your well-being?"
"No, I mean, yes, that too, but I didn't mean that"
"I have nothing to say, so get dressed and get out of here as quickly as you can".
He then went.
"What does this confused soul think of himself?"
Devika raised a fist in the air and muttered to herself.
vikram's pov
"She really anticipates that I will worry about her after she destroyed the entire kitchen".
Arjun met him midway as he was ready to enter the hall.
"Did you check on each and every servant? Are they safe from harm?"
Vikram asks hastily, as though his life depends on the answer.
