NADINE'S POV:
i have been feeling miserable since my parents grounded me

hey, i'm very sorry, i attacked you without letting you explain
i want an explanation Kenzie,
meet me at the cafè near my neighborhood

and then i sent it
i waited for a reply
i waited and i waited
after what seems like forever
i heard a notification

agad naman akong pumunta sa bathroom ko para maligo

i know we're both grounded

we would just sneak out
since both of our parents are very busy with their businesses

MCKENZIE'S POV:
after sending those text's messages
it made me happy
especially Nadine letting me explain to her what happened
and i'm not gonna hide my feelings with Jacob,
i will tell her the truth
i will not lie to her
because that's how much i love her
friends don't lie

leaving the philippines is awful

we're in our hour 8 going to Canada

sitting in first class
thinking about my friend group that i destroyed by the way,
