"heizou, look! aren't those two..."

heizou froze in his tracks. he stared at the sight in front of him wide eyed, jaw dropped.

"t-thi...this.... wh—what..." he pointed at the view, his hand shaking. "aargh..." he shivered.

"what's wrong?"

"this is..."

kazuha and kunikuzushi were openly PDA-ing in the middle of the cafeteria. others were looking at them weird, too. it wasn't as if boys getting touchy with each other was weird, it was kunikuzushi LETTING kazuha touch him that was weird. heizou was just shocked at how quickly they made up and how shameless they were being, though.

heizou stormed over to their table and slammed his tray of food on it, causing some soup to spill.

"y..y—you two...!!"

"what is it?" kazuha asked, his head peaking from behind kunikuzushi's.

"kuni...sitting on his lap like that... get a room..."

"oho, you're blushing."

"SEEING MY FRIENDS SUDDENLY DO THAT WITH EACH OTHER IS—!"

kazuha fake pouted. "and who was trying so sooo hard to get us to reconcile?" his pout flipped into a smirk, as he rested his chin on kunikuzushi's shoulder.

"ack..."

"what'dya expect? you gave me too much advice. can't just leave it."

"...dammit..."

heizou felt a palm on his head. "you were 50% responsible for this. just accept it."

aether took a seat next to heizou, and across the new couple.

"who're you?"

"i'm aether, this nosy guy's roommate. hopefully he hasn't caused too much trouble..."

aether earned a hard smack on his arm, and heizou said that he deserved it.

"if anything, we have to thank him. i'm sure you know why," kazuha smiled, as kunikuzushi fed him a piece of fruit.

"...i can't stand this anymorreee..." heizou turned, now his back facing the two.

"why'd you even sit here then?" kunikuzushi scoffed.

"it's good seeing my hard work pay off... it's good seeing my friends getting along again... i wanted to check up in you... is all... but there are also no vacant seats..."

kunikuzushi let out a malicious sounding chuckle. "this is hilarious. you are so pitiful..."

"HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EVEN STAND HIM????" heizou whipped his head around, locking eyes with kazuha.

"it's called the power of love, heizou," aether said, nonchalantly.

"don't hit me with this power of connection bullshit!" he mocked, as he slammed his head down to his thighs after he turned back to his 'out of sight, out of mind' position.

"it's rare to see him so childish, haha!" kazuha laughed, but it sounded like a sneer to heizou.

he slowly lifted his head, and turned around menacingly. "i have a black belt in taekwondo, you know..."

the three were finally able to talk comfortably again, with the addition of a new friend.

"aren't you glad it all worked out in the end?" aether asked as he got ready to go to bed.

"i'm way too relieved..." heizou sighed, unravelling his blanket.

"but i'm pretty sure with how they are now, some rather unpleasant fights will happen... that's the complicated part. doing this at risk of losing the person fully..."

"well heizou," aether got up from his bed and sat on his roommate's bed. "what will happen next will be their responsibility. i'm also confident in their ability to resolve conflict."

"yeah, but i'm just worried because they have so much internal fights with themselves individually. there has GOT to be a trigger of some sort that will spark spite between them... i'm happy but i'm also worried, given how both of them are my friends."

"...i can't promise you that nothing bad will happen, but just... support them for the time being, okay? every relationship, romantic or not, will eventually generate conflict. it's up to them to deal with it. don't worry about it too much."

"once again, the almighty traveller sooths me by sweet-talking me to sleep..." heizou smiled softly. "you are so dreamy..."

aether, now infinitely flustered, sputtered:  "i...it was just pe-personal experience...! i have a twin and all... we fight all the time..."

"but i was just telling the truth." heizou smirked, finally getting to witness the glory of the blonde's flustered face.

"seriously... go sleep."

"whatever you say, m'lady." heizou winked as he turned to his side.

"...give me a break...."
