"Why do you have jowas? Where can I get one?"
I asked myself while I was viewing my Instagram friends flexing their partners. We are grade twelve students and it seems like it is already a trend for us to have jowas. But unlike them, I don't have one. I have never experienced having one as well! It already makes me wonder... What's wrong with me? Am I not worthy to be loved? Am I not pretty to not capture one's attention? Am I that dumb that they hate to have me? Or am I not kind that they think I'm not approachable? Sure enough, the reason is one of those.
"Walang hindi sasama bukas, ha!" Milane told us during our lunch time. Napanguso ako. Eh, baka dadalhin na naman nila mga partners nila. I'll be jealous!
"Minsan lang 'to, Lor, sama ka na," pamimilit pa ni Viv.
"I'll go if Pen go," I used my card. Alam kong hindi sasama si Penelope, she'd rather stay at home and watch movies kaysa makibonding-
"Sasama ako," sabi agad ni Penelope. I looked at her, shock, habang siya naman ay clueless na tumingin pabalik sa akin.
I sighed in defeat. Tumawa ang dalawa kaya pumayag na lamang ako. Kasama ko naman si Penelope! I woudn't be lonely!
Or that's what I thought.
Kaya pala sumama si Pen kasi gagawa sila ng group activity ni Henry, partner niya sa isang task na hindi nila natapos dahil pareho silang inexcuse para sa theater. Hmp! Edi sana sa bahay na lang sila gumawa!
My friends are always trying their best not to leave me out. Sa katunayan ay mas mahaba pa nga ang naging bonding namin kaysa sa nga partners nila. The boys were cooking and roasting our food while we were just talking and laughing! May advantage rin pala kung puro may jowa ang circle mo. Hehe!
Pero noong lunch ay parang nawalan ako ng gana kumain! Mil and Leo were nagsusubuan, Viv and Claud were sharing one plate, and Henry prepared Pen the food without her even asking! I almost rolled my eyes on them. Where's the justice for the single friend!?
My eyes are really seeking for details kaya ang mga 'yon ay napansin ko pa. Nagkukwentuhan kasi sila about the funny scenes pero hindi ko maprocess dahil nasa maliliit na details ang atensyon ko. I now hate being observant... Kung ano-ano na lang ang papansin ko!
Hindi pa roon nagtatapos ng pagpapamukha sa akin ng destiny na I'm so single. Dahil noong nagtampisaw kami sa beach ay by partners ulit! Well, dahil may tinatapos sina Penelope ay hindi sila naligo. Hindi rin ako naligo, baka maging mapait pa ang tubig at hindi maalat. Iyong apat lang ang naligo.
