"I don't like Haerin. She is so weird and too much affectionate."

"I freaking know right! All she does is blabber about her own little bubble of fantasy and magic."

"We are not even interested. Can you believe she has never had a boyfriend for 18 years of her life ?"

Muffled voices filled her ears from the empty classroom.

"That's literally so boring. We want to talk about boys, our love lives, isn't that how best friends should be? Her and ours' interests are completely different."

"I regret making her our friend, out of sheer pity. I mean, I thought she got the pretty face and so she would fit in well with us."

Tears escaped Haerin's eyes as she heard the two precious persons of her life, her best friends talking ill about her with such cruelty, behind her back.

Her hands holding the handmade cards which she had made for them the previous night, shivered. It was Friendship Day. Her excitement knew no bounds at the idea of celebrating it with the first two persons who have treated her right. But that was not the case. They shattered her fragile heart.

She threw the cards in the dustbins, rushing out from the school premise.
She couldn't stop crying. She was so hurt, as if someone had hammered her heart.

It was growing darker. The narrow alley she had to walk in was quieter than usual. A strange silence filled the street which was only disrupted by her sobs. She quickly wiped off her tears, trying to put on a smile on her face.
Her house was near. She couldn't let her parents' discover her sadness. She didn't wish to burden anyone.

Haerin gradually came to a halt; her eyes fixed on a tall figurestanding a few feet away from her. He didn't seem to be aware of her presence as he flicked his finger on the air. In a few moments, each and every street light on the alley lit up simultaneously, clutching her heart with surprise.

His brown hair shone under the bright light, revealing his muscular physique. He proceeded to walk casually and Haerin decided to follow.

She have always believed in magic. Her excitement and curiousity couldn't just let him go without any questions.

She saw him cast a spell on a random white wall, leading to the creation of a mysterious door.

Her gasp was louder than she had expected. It was audible to his ears, making him pause.

His gaze linked with hers,"Who you might be?"

The pair of hawk-eyes led to the rise of nervousness within her but Haerin courageously walked towards him,"DID YOU JUST DO MAGIC?", her eyes glittered.

"No. You are hallucinating.",he opened the door rolling his eyes and stepped into the doorway.

Haerin followed him hoping to discover where the door would lead them to. To her surprise, she was amidst a forest. Rows of different species of trees and plants marked the eerie night atmosphere. The door had disappeared, leaving her and this stranger boy in mystery.
