Haerin rose on her bed, rubbing her eyes. The sound of birds chirping filled her ears.

The land of Fantasia was so similar to the her world except the people.

A packet rested on her bed with a note attached to it.

"This is your uniform, Miss Haerin. Don't be late, it's your first day here! Good luck.

- Professor Adriana"

To her surprise, the note disappeared into thin air, only leaving the package behind.

She unpacked it, staring at the navy blue uniform, a tag linked to her blazer 'Sae Haerin' .

Was it really happening? Was she actually going to study here, bidding a good bye to her mortal world?

She looked around sensing the absence of her room mates.

"Don't tell me, I am late already."

She ruffled her own hair before rushing towards the washroom.

Stares.

She received lots of stares. Some gave her an appraising look, some were simply disgusted while some sulked, rolling their eyes.

Haerin tried her best to avoid them and slipped into a seat. A boy with sunshiney smile greeted her,"Hello! I saw you at the hall, yesterday!"

She was relieved that he didn't treat her as an outcast and welcomed her.

"Hi.",Haerin awkwardly smiled.

"I am Sunoo and you are Haerin, right?"

She nodded, staring at the wall.

She didn't own any notebooks,books or clothes of her own. Was she supposed to write on air?

Sunoo waved his fingers on the air, a blank sheet of paper appeared which was clutched in his hand.

Shall she try it to? Everyone seemed to do it here.

Taking in a long breathe, she moved her hand in the air, focussing deeply.

She waited something to happen which didn't happen at all.

What was she even thinking? She was just a mortal.

Disappointment marked her face. The feeling of inferiority hit her, making her insecure.

"Did you see that?"

The familiar voice of Jay filled her ears,"A mortal trying to do magic."

Jake chuckled, chewing on his bubble gum,"That was cute. Do it again."

Her cheeks heated in embarassment. She wished to disappear.

"I heard mortal girls are usually scared of spiders. Why don't we see it, for real?",Jay smirked at his other friend whose blonde hair shone under the daylight,"Right, Niki?"
