As we play, trading words back and forth, asking random questions and a well thought lies. I ask her, twenty lies later, "What does your Husband do? I've always be curious to know?"
Quite frankly, Mickel is someone that always made sure her husband's matter never find a way into our conversations, I wonder why?
"Why?" She frowns at the question.
I only want to know if she knew about her husband's occupation, at this rate, I know she is going to lie because she still doesn't trust me enough to tell me things.
"Well, I was wondering what someone that scary could be doing for a living." Okay, maybe that sounds way better in my head, and it feels like I'm giving myself away.
I lean my aching back into the couch, "I wanted to know what marriage feels like before thinking of dabbling into it."
"Does that mean..?" I know what she is trying to ask, and it is a very good question.
Am I supposed to tell her I'm single now? I ask myself. I just blurt things out without thinking about what it could lead to, it's repercussions.
I smile and nod shyly, faked, of course. Going extreme is my expertise.
"Well, he has a company, an ammunition company. That should explain is supposedly scary look." She explains.
Hmm... Ammunition, I didn't know he has one.
"Have you ever been there? You know like taking food for him, so that you can you know..." I wink at her
"Kelly, you are too much of a pervert, and no I haven't ever been there." She says a smile on her face now.
"Well, sweetie, before someone with big yansh begins to cook vegetable soup with all assorted meat for your husband, you are taking lunch to your husband, my friend. That too, in a cloth I've diligently picked out for you."
She laughs, "OK, let's do... this...I will just call him, I don't exactly know where his company is."
I scoff a laughter, "You are joking, right?"
"No, I'm not. I- I actually just realise that I don't really know. Lemme ask him first." I give her a mortified look.
"I know, don't look at me like that, okay? I didn't want it to seem like I'm stalking him."
"But at least you know how it sounds now. I can't imagine not knowing where my husband goes everyday. What if something goes on?"
I keep planting the seed into her mind.
"You know how men can be. I've had my heart broken more times than half my age." I conclude.
She thinks for a bit before grabbing her phone, I know she is about to call her husband.
I wait for her to say her first word, an indication that Sting has picked his call.
"Babe..." She pouts, then she giggles.
"I know. Do you know what I just thought about? I've never been to your office, and I want to bring you lunch, well, and dessert."
She blushes at her own words, and glances at me. I give her an encouraging smile before her face turns sour.
"Babe, I want to do that, now! Just send your address, for crying out loud!" She looks about to throw a tantrum.
She sucks in a shaky breath, "Okay, I will expect, and get ready, yeah?"
He probably has agreed to send it.
"I love you, too." She says with a giggle.
"He is going to send the address," She squeals. "Let's go and make him is favourite food."
I sigh, I need to fall in love soon before someone kills me with oppression.
