I walk into the living quarters but some newbie is there waiting for me to deliver the message that Detective Dammy is waiting for me.
Who am I to even call someone a newbie?
I groan knowing I'm in for a rigorous training, again. All I intend to do is get into the shower, and go to fucking sleep! But no, everyone is after my life.
I change into another sweats and begin to walk into the training ground, she is standing in the middle of the elevated fighting ring, staring me down with one of her critical eyes.
"You are late, Kelly! You are thirty minutes late!"
I look at her with a funny side, is she kidding me? O just returned from a stupid job that might head might have been blown off my neck for, in case something goes wrong.
Nobody said a thing to me. Not even, 'Oh, you are alive' or 'Oh, you held your own' or even better 'Oh, you did a good job. You can leave this foolish place.'
I sigh, and begin to trudge gently till I get to stairs if the ring, I drop my sports bag and climb on the stairs, as soon as I put a leg and duck my head under the rope to help myself into the fighting ring, I find myself at the other side of the ring.
I have barely taken a breath before I had been thrown horizontally over Detective Dammy's shoulder, and thrown the other way.
I groan and quickly reach for the lowest rope to raise myself up, but, oh boy, her body crashed into me, sending the whole breath out of my body. It is crazy.
My eyes waters, she is up on her feet, already, about to dish out my next suffering, there is no way I'm going to let that happen as I'm already back on my feet.
I throw myself at her, launching my shoulder at her diaphragm, I hold her arm to the back, pushing her back into the corner of the ring. I continue to bunch my shoulder into her stomach, the force pushes her hand back, each time she slaps my back.
She pushes herself forward, and launch her knee into my chest, as she knows I'm going to repeat the same process.
She continues to batter my life, while I grip tightly to my dear life. I decide to lock her arm, I push her elbow back, holding her neck with my left hand with all the strength I have, she laughs but she let me do it.
To make better effect, I lock my legs around her waist. I think tables has turned, as she is using me to train her. Perhaps she is watching for how many minutes she could last but reverse is the case, she is actually whimpering under me.
I loosen my grip at first for shock that something of that sort is happening but I remember her telling me how people can use any trick to get what they want. She might be tricking me, right?
She begins to droop, she kneels weakly from her position, I widen my eyes, immediately deciding to let her go.
What the fuck?!
"No, Kelly, stop! Continue to hold her in that position." I don't know when he walk in. It is Detective Stranger, I tighten my loosened grip.
"Have you always been there?" I ask.
He says yes.
"You love watching her fight." Its a statement.
"That and how authoritative she is. I love her just like that." He says.
He steps into the ring and begins to whisper something to Detective Dammy under my arm, she begins to whimper.
"Baby, do this for me, please. Do not let them win." Can I really understand what is going on?
"You have all my cheers in the world." He mutters something to her again.
She begins to use her strength, she shouts out, lifting herself up with great difficulty. She begins to vibrate under me. She snatches her hand from my hand.
She slams my back into the corner of the ring, which makes her shoulder slam into my stomach considering the position I'm holding her head in. It is very painful, I tell you. I quickly cooperate and loosen her head.
I've barely gotten a grip before she carries me on her shoulder, the throwing me down face down. Everything goes black.
I wake up in the middle of the ring, with every single part of my body in pain, I tell you.
I turn to my side to see Detective stranger hugging Detective Dammy close, to his side, even when she tried to lease herself.
"Good work today, Kelly. I hope Lola didn't show you who she really is." She chuckles gently, I think she is trying to prove something to Detective Stranger magneted to her.
"She is scary." I tell her, groaning as I try to raise myself into a sitting position, "Even more than you Detective Dammy, I tell you."
She chuckles, this time, along side Detective Stranger, "My money, Christopher. Told ya."
Christopher smile before he says, "You just goan fall my hand."
He pouts as he hands her an envelope he pulled out from his back pocket.
"You can go now Kelly, your training is over for today." She says to me.
"Am I permitting to ask what happened in the ring there and how many seconds I was out for?" Asking the first question take all my strength. I've been wanting to ask since.
The second one is just a quick cover over the first one, to make it seem like I'm confident.
"No, you can't ask, but you were out for about 10seconds. If you ask me, I will say too much seconds, it could get you killed." She tells me, melancholy touching her eyes briefly.
"Run along, Kelly." The now named and unstranger stranger detective says to me.
