It's just a bet, right?
One little bet was all it took, to set her world on fire.

I get off my motorcycle and tuck my helmet under the seat. I take the key out of my black leather jacket and lock it.
I decided to take the motorcycle today, because it is simply much faster than taking the train. Because there has been almost no traffic this morning, I'm even too early.

I run through my hair, which was a little tousled because of my helmet and try to tame them. I have straight hair BUT I tell you, to tame this much harder than you think! I have to admit I am more nervous than I thought I would be so I try to cover it up as best I can. I know I am the only one here, there is no other woman here. But surprisingly, it doesn't bother me. I also feel kind of honored that he chose me to be the first or even the last, what do I know.
I stand in front of the building, which doesn't even look that killer from the outside, as still with slight nervousness, and survey the entrance.
Suddenly someone taps me on the shoulder from behind and I flinch in surprise and turn around with a jerk.
"Good morning Mrs. Y/n- oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," I then hear from my counterpart.
"Good afternoon Mr. Park," I say politely and give a short bow.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes, I think so," I reply, my slight discomfort clearly audible.
"I'll give you some well-intentioned advice Mrs. Y/n, be confident and yourself. I know most of the men you are about to see and believe me not all of them are from our modern society."
I frown and look at him questioningly.
He sighs and says softly, "Not all of them are equally educated and also not all of them will take you equally seriously because you are a- well - um a you know".
That's when it clicked for me. So some here are still such sexist types who think they are better than the whole female society.
I always found this thought quite funny, especially because they came from a woman.
So I prepare myself mentally that some people will not take me seriously right away.
Oh if only I had known what would come.

"This?! This is THE new one? That's not even a him, that's a girl!"
Mr. Park who is standing next to me and introduced me to the group, of course immediately takes the word and defends me and I can hardly believe my luck. I thought maybe there were a few exceptions of them who haven't quite understood the principle of equality yet or simply didn't have enough brain mass but I didn't think ALL of them were like that.
