Spontaneously, I decide to visit my parents again. It's Thursday afternoon and I'm still sitting at home. It's been a week since the whole thing happened and my wounds are feeling reasonably well again. At least not so bad that I have to sit at home all the time. But that's exactly what I'm doing. He said I can't go back to work until next week. I'm bored as hell and feeling great. Bumming around on the sofa in front of the TV is definitely not one of my favorite hobbies.
So I get up quickly, put my wallet and cell phone in my jacket and get ready. My next train leaves in 30 minutes and I rush out of our apartment and lock the door. Unfortunately, I still have my beloved motorcycle at HQ, so I have to take public transport. What's more, there's no bus at the moment, which means I have to walk 20 minutes to the station.
But it doesn't even bother me. Aka something's wrong, because normally I really hate walking to the station, not because I'm too lazy, just because I really can't stand it. Then I'd rather run, because then I'm faster. I am definitely in a better mood than before as I stroll down the empty street. I take out my cell phone and call my mother, because my bigbrain didn't even think about whether they were at home. But lucky me, my whole family is at home tonight and I can join them for dinner. Handy hehe.My mother didn't think it was great that I moved out so early.
For me, the shared apartment project with my two best friends was a blessing.
When I was still living at home, I often had arguments with my parents, often with my brother too, but much less than with my parents. They were constantly nagging me about little things. And when I announced that I'd had enough, they didn't think it was so great after all. Eventually they accepted my decision. It took a while, but our relationship got better over time. Much much better. Don't get me wrong, I love my parents, my family, but we had so many arguments about little things like sharing the apartment. I usually visit them every two weeks, but now I really haven't seen them for a long time. And I've missed them.

"Y/n!" I am greeted happily by my mother. "My daughter, you're going to be seen again!" I see my father at the back with a smile on his face. I take off my jacket and we sit down at the dining table. "Why don't you tell us a bit? What have you been up to lately, my darling?" my mother asks me. "Actually, not that much has happened. I'm just a little stressed sometimes, but that's normal. It's just the business world.
It's not really a lie, is it? After all, I'm still employed by the same company. I would never do it to my parents to tell them what I really do all the time. That would only cause unnecessary concern.
" Whoa, my darling! What's that on your hand? Those are nasty scratches!" She suddenly grabs my wrist and pulls my hand under her eyes.
Well, maybe not unnecessary ones, but I'd rather avoid the extra stress with my mother.
"I fell down. Nothing serious, just don't worry, mum," I say casually. "Yeah, well, you'd better watch out in future, you don't want to bump your head!" she says reassuringly. "Y/n before I forget! We have a visitor today," she smiles. Just then, the doorbell rings and my mother rushes to the door to greet our guest, whom I hadn't even noticed.
A slim woman, around 40 years old, steps through the door. She is wearing white airy jeans and a pink turtleneck sweater. Her long, curly, dark brown hair, nearly black, falls to her chest. My mother greets her with a smile and pulls her into a tight hug. The two of them join us at the table and the unknown woman bows to my father with a smile. "Hello, nice to see you again". She then bows to me, "And nice to finally meet you. Choi Giulia," she introduces herself. My father gives her a friendly nod and I immediately stand up and bow to her, "Kim Y/n, nice to meet you.
