I rush into the elevator and press the button for the seventh floor. My heart is beating like crazy, what I just did was, admittedly, quite cheeky.

I tried to calm my poor heart, which apparently suffers from asthma. Of course, I'm still so nervous too. Y/n you can do this! You'll be fine!

I flatten my blouse for the last time and step out of the elevator to the seventh floor of the JJ Company.
The company is just huge, the building alone is already only 12 floors and it's not even JJ's only booth.

I went to the front left door, as described in the email, and sat down in the waiting room.
Jesus. Apparently, the position is not only desired by me. No, there were already sixteen people sitting in the room. Nevertheless, I sat down on an empty seat and behaved professionally.
Finally I was called. I entered the room and shook hands with the woman who greeted me kindly.

About 40 minutes later, I was already done with the interview.

"How did it go?" an excited Yura stormed towards me in tow of Saya.

I had to laugh, those two are just the best. I love them sooo much.

"I think it went well, there were quite a few people there, but I actually have a good feeling. The woman who interviewed me was very nice by the way," I say with satisfaction.

"I hope you get the job, they'd be pretty stupid not to take our little genius," Saya says.

"Now you don't have to exaggerate either," I laugh.

"When she's right, she's right. You really are extremely intelligent Y/n!" comes from Yura, shrugging her shoulders.

"Speaking of Y/n."

"Don't think we forgot".

And the two of them grin stupidly at me. You know that yellow emoji, with that grin on his face? (😏)
That's exactly how they both look at me at the same time right now.

"Yeah what is it?", I say but I know exactly what they mean.

Saya walks up to Yura and pulls her down by the collar of her shirt, dramatically pressing her head against Yura's forehead and saying theatrically, "You are my everything, I love you."

Yura plays along, "Who are you? You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen, I want to get to know you".

"Guyssss, stop ittt," I shout laughing and push them apart.

The others burst out laughing. "Y/n it really looked so intense when you pulled him down to you by his tie," Saya snorts again.
"You know what really makes me wonder? Y/n what were you just whispering in his ear that he looked at you like he wanted to eat you again?", Yura laughs.

"Not really, right?", I now snort along too and I blush slightly.

"Oh yesssss," they both laugh. "It did look pretty hot".

"I told him 'did you miss me' and then he mumbled my name".

"And then you just ran away," Saya says.

"But you know what the really interesting question is? Why did he come out of the JJ building?" asks Yura.

"He must be a customer there, I mean all the employees I walked past for my interview had blue suits on and he had a black suit on," I explain to her.

"Fair point," Saya agrees with me.

"Guys I'm so excited to see if I get this great job," I babble.

In the evening, I still go to my much-loved workout while the others watch a movie.
I've been doing jiu-jitsu for about four years, which is a martial art with punching and leverage techniques. I love it, I like to let my energy out on the fighting mats and how it sends passion and motivation through me when I win a fight. I always feel so free and the sport gives me a feeling of security.

Sweaty I walk out of the training halls into the empty streets and somehow I am just so happy.
As I'm walking to the door of our apartment, I notice that I've received a new email and quickly tap on the app.

I. just. don. believe. it.

IT'S AN EMAIL FROM JJ! AND GUESS WHAT!? THEY SAID YES TO ME! OMG!!!

"YESSS," I screech out loud.

"I did it bitches," I exclaim excitedly as I loudly rush in the door.

"PEOPLE JJ JUST ADMITTED ME THE POSITION," I shout still full of excitement.

"Y/N YOU BADASS," and I hear Saya rushing towards me.

"OUR LITTLE GENIUS HAS BEATEN ALL THE OTHERS," Yura screams.

And they enclose me in a group hug. I was just so happy right now and in three days I could start my dream job.

Everything is just so perfect right now.

But most of the time it doesn't stay that way, huh?

Because whenever nothing is supposed to change, someone comes along and turns your world upside down and everything changes.
