/Anne's Pov/Thoughts\

This new world seems interesting, there are caves, large insects, what's next, talking frogs?

I searched my bag for whatever I still have that's a reminder of the world I was once in. I found a journal, a pen, some clothes I had leftover from my last sleepover with Marcy and Sasha, a photo of us all, a bag of chips, the music box, a water bottle, and a make-shift knife made from pencils, highlighters, tape, and a stuffed hamster that Marcy gave me. The journal would be good so I can write down directions, what's poisonous and what's not, how to make shelter if I can't find a cave or civilization, and I can write down what rations I ate for which day.

If I can remember correctly the human body can survive for a week or two without food and only three days without water. Water would be a good source if I can find a lake or something and make a filter.

If I do find one the second thing to worry about would be food, I can commend a water fast for a week or two, allowing my body to eat away at the fat stored up in my body, then use food rations.

Next thing is shelter, I should go find a cave near a lake before dark, I can use my phone as a light for when it's dark, not the smartest choice but it can buy me some time in the dark until I find a different way of light.

Last thing is my survival, I would need to possibly fight off any creatures that would put me in danger, the last thing I would want to do is die before I can see if Marcy and Sasha came to this world too.Considering everything, I should probably write it down so I can remember it later down this road of adventure.

After writing that stuff down, I went ahead and looked for a cave near a lake, after finding one I searched for any sign of life near the cave. There were some prints made by what seems to be an insect but large. I went inside the cave and there were some words on the wall but in a foreign tongue. I gripped onto the music box and followed the markings, they led on for a mile or two until I reached a green or as Marcy would call it 'Generic Vidirian' arrow. It was pointing deeper into the cave which seemed to extend forever! I decided to sit down on a rock in the cave and take a break, I grabbed the photo from my bag and solemnly swore to reunite with my girls, even if it's the last thing I do.

A/N

This was fun to write and I almost lost the whole chapter while writing so basically that was upsetting. Other than that I am excited to get on with this wonderful book!

Generic Vidirian is basically a really pretty blue-ish green.
