Love That Never Dies (Howl Pendragon x Reader)

Prologue

Howl Pendragon, my sweet and dramatic boyfriend was the perfect man I ever met. He was the loving man in my own perspective, his everything I ever asked for. Yet, I refuse to believe that he is the only perfect man for a relationship. There must be another man out there who can love me as he can.

''Howl?'' I called out.

I heard footsteps heading towards where I was. I knew already it was Howl, no one run in this house when I call except Howl. When he reach me, he suddenly held my hand and examine if something bad happen to me.

''Something wrong, My Love?'' he asked in a calm voice. The voice I always love.

I shake my head with a sincer smile. He always love it when I smile more, and I never felt more confident around him. ''Can I ask you something, Howl?''

His face held seriousness. He knows when I want to speak with him seriously if I call him by his name.

''What is it, Sweetheart?''he asked his hands still on my hands.

I took a deep breath, mentally preparing myself for this. I want to know, i'm curious.

''I know you know that our relationship is perfect in anyway possible, right?'' I asked as I lead him to the balcony. It's the only place I can gather courage to tell it to him.

He nod, still confuse at all. I turn around him and cupped his face, and a random tear flow out from my eye knowing I need to lose him in this one.

''I have a doubt that other men can treat me like you do. What I mean is, I want to know it myself, if my thoughts are right about this one, Howl.'' I said as I carassed his cheek with my thumb.

Howl wipe the tear that flow from my eye. I never saw Howl this sad, out the dramatic things he did. He hasn't say something and i'm scared for the reply his going to say. Howl took my hands from his cheeks and held it close to him.

''I understand deeply, My Love. I know what you want, and i'm not gonna stop you.'' he said pulling me close to him. My heart was crushing, and it's the most painful thing that has ever happen to me. He never stop supporting me, and even on this one, he did'nt either.

''Just promise me something Y/n, Love. When that man hurts you, you'll never go back to him and rather find another one. And if you're tired already, come find me, Sweetheart.'' he said as I promised it and sealed it with a passoinate kiss.

Howl told Calcifer to stop some where safe that he can assure that he'll never worry once I got off of the castle. Howl never let go of my hand as Calcifer kept moving the castle until he found a safe place for me.

''I'll stop it here. It looks safe enough.'' Calcifer said as the castle came to a stop.

Howl nod never letting my hand go. I pulled him with me to Calcifer's fire place and smiled at him ''Thank you, Calcifer. I'll miss you.'' I said as I gave him my last wood.

Howl walked with me outside, our hands interlocked to each other. Once we step outside, Howl gave me one last kiss before letting me go.

''Don't forget our promise, Sweetheart. Or shall I say Y/n?'' he said with a sad smile on his face.

I shake my head, I want to hear him call me by his pet name his been calling if we're parting like this ''I'm fine being called 'Sweetheart' Love.'' I said holidng my tears.

He nod understanding my request ''Then, this is goodbye, My Love.'' and with that he enter the castle as it move again, away from me.

This might hurt so much, but I know that no one will hurt me like Howl did love me. I know just right, alright. I just need to be positive and forget Howl for now. I don't need destruction for now, I can't keep thinking about him. And that's final.
