- Phone calls are this
Chan's POV:
I was in the middle of one of my music production classes when my phone starts ringing. I jumped when I remembered that I hadn't put it on silent. I quickly glanced at it to see it was my mother calling me. "Mr. Bang, why is your phone on?" The teacher asked me. "I'm sorry sir. I thought it was silenced. Can I be excused though for a moment; it was my mother that was calling me." I asked. I see the teacher look a little bit concerned. I also see Changbin look over at me and looks confused. "Oh yes. It has to be urgent if it is your mother. Go out in the hallway and call her back, if you need anything else, let me know." I nod my head. After I grab my phone and head into the hallway, I call my mother back. After the phone rings twice, she picks up. "Mom, what's wrong? I'm in class." I ask her. "I know and I'm so sorry to bother you, but something happened." I hear my mother say in a sort of hushed whisper. "What happened and why are you whispering?" I ask worriedly. "Something happened to Y/n. She can't stay here anymore; it won't be good for her. I was wondering if she could move in with you. I was planning on sending her to Seoul soon anyways because there is a high school near where you live, and it starts soon. I have a flight booked for her later this afternoon." My mother explains. "Wait, what happened to Y/n? Also, I have no problem with her coming to live with me mom, the high school you're talking about isn't too far from my place, plus I know someone who goes there." I say. "That's up for Y/n to tell you what happened. Anyways her flight is at 2:00 pm which will be 1 pm for you. She'll probably get to Incheon around midnight." She tells me. "That's fine. I'll text you when she arrives. Just tell her to pack what she can in two suitcases, and I'll take her out eventually to get more stuff." I say running my hand through my hair. "Thank you, Chris. I'm sure she'll be happy to see you soon." After we both said our goodbyes, my mother hung up the phone. I stand in the hallway for another second trying to figure out what could have happened to Y/n that she suddenly had to leave Australia and come live with me in Seoul. I shake my head and walk back into the classroom. I saw everyone was working independently on something, so I walked over to the teacher. "Excuse me sir. I'm sorry to bother you but I need to take Changbin and leave. My mother just informed me that my sister is coming to live with me, and I need to get my place ready as she'll be here later tonight." I explain to the teacher. I see the man nod his head. "Go ahead and take Mr. Seo. I will let both of your other teachers know that you both won't be in classes today. Email me when you have gotten your sister settled in to living here and then we can discuss a day for you to come back to class and all." I nodded my head before bowing politely. After I walked away from the teacher's desk, I went over to Changbin's desk where he has his laptop out. I tap on his shoulder, and he looks up at me. "You need to come with me, I'll explain in the car. I.N will be over soon too." I say. That's all it took for Changbin to start packing up and grab his bookbag before we left.
Later, at Chan's house
"Okay now that I.N's hear, can you explain what is happening?" Changbin asks me. I see I.N look at me confused as well. "The reason my phone went off in class was because my mom had called. Innie knows this but no one else does. I have a sister who is three years younger than me. Her name is Y/n, and she is also 18. The reason my mom called was because something happened back home in Australia and Y/n needs to move in with me. My mom wouldn't give many details, saying that Y/n needs to tell me herself." I explained to the both of them. "Wait, you said she's 18. Is she a college student like you guys or a high school student like me?" My boyfriend asks me. "She's a senior in high school like you I.N. She's also going to be going to the same high school as you are." I tell him. "When's her birthday then?" Changbin asks. "September 16th of 2000." I tell the both of them. "No way." I.N says while laughing. "What's so funny?" I ask him. "I have a group of friends outside of your old selves. They are all seniors in high school too. Their names are Jisung, Felix, and Seungmin. We all call Jisung by his last name though because he prefers it. So, he's Han. Anyways, Han's birthday is September 14th of 2000 and Felix's is September 15th of 2000." I.N explains to us. "Felix? That's a foreign name." Changbin says. I see I.N nod his head. "Felix was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. When he was 14, he moved here and has gone to school with me since. His Korean name is Yongbok but only a few select people can call him that." I looked at my boyfriend in shock. "Y/n was born and raised in Sydney as well. Innie, do you think when the school year starts in a week you can introduce your friends to Y/n. I'm worried she won't have anyone to talk to." I ask him. "I can do you one better. Let's give her the whole day tomorrow to deal with moving here and on Wednesday, I can come over and you can introduce me to her. Either Thursday or Friday, I can see if the heathens that I call my friends will all go to a cafe or something so that way I can introduce them to her so she's not starting the school year barely knowing anyone."
