HALF-BREED

Isabel sat there in disbelief at her rant. As were the others, Pansy seemed to not react to it, she said herself she found it entertaining.

She watched as the riddle brothers seemed to communicate silently, as if they could read each other's minds, finally, Tom spoke up,

"I think we can understand your distress, Izzy, you're at a brand-new school, meeting all sorts of peculiar people. Me and my brother here were so cold to you yesterday because we had just had a fallout; I apologise for our behaviour, but I hope we can move forward. The fact we know your full name is because we assumed Izzy was short for Isabel, I suspect Mattheo called you that after you asked to be mean,"

"I thought that too but then Mattheo said that thing to me about my home life in the carriage. How do you play that off as a coincidence?" she spoke up, fiddling with her hands,

"What did I say, Isabel?" Smirked Mattheo,

"You know, the thing about my home-life," Isabel did not feel comfortable repeating what he said in front of the group, she didn't want anyone to know she was a foster kid.

"I don't remember saying anything about your home-life Isabel,"

"Mattheo." Tom sneered, "That I do not know, Mattheo has always been good at reading people, it was a heinous guess,"

"More like good at reading people's minds," whispered Enzo to Theo causing him to scoff quietly. The brother shot him a glare.

"Oh," she breathed, not hearing what Enzo said, "Wait a minute, that doesn't explain why any of yous have been ignoring me," she turned around to look at the group, they all shared the same uncomfortable look.

"That is because I forbade them," Tom stated matter-of-factly, causing the group to look at him in shock,

"You what?" asked Izzy her face scrunched up,

"I forbade them," he shrugged,

"You forbade your friends too not to talk to me," folding her arms sarcastically,

"Yes, Isabel, I forbade them not to talk to you," he rolled his eyes getting impatient,

"Why on earth would you do that?"

"I can tell you're a good girl, Izzy, however the same can't be said for these delinquents," he explained raising his eyebrow, she didn't know how to feel about that, she had met the man only yesterday and he was already deciding who she should and shouldn't be friends with,

"Don't you think I should be able to figure that out that myself?"

"I suppose so," he checked his watch for the time, "We have about 5 minutes until class starts, we'd best get a move on so we aren't late," he got up and briskly made his way out of the common room without so much as a second glance at the girl, she turned around to face the other's, not remembering Mattheo was still sat,

"You point black refused to acknowledge me because that snobby teenager told you so?" she asked causing Draco too scoff,

"Watch your mouth you filthy half-breed," he spat, marching past her, 'half-breed,' She thought 'what an odd insult,' Pansy laughed at the interaction,

"I am sorry Izzy, he's a prefect and all. We wanted to talk to you we did but Riddles, how do I explain it," Blaise started while looking to Enzo for help,

"He's very, leadershipy," Enzo nodded as he said that she could tell they were both refraining from saying something,

"He's leadershipy?" Blaise laughed,
