HOLE IN THE WALL

Three days had passed since the intolerable night up in the astronomy tower, and Izzy had not seen the Riddle brothers. A sense of relief had taken over her mind when she had noticed neither of the two had been in her classes.

The girl had since grown closer to Pansy and the rest of the group, talking to them came easier now.

She didn't ask any of them about the brothers ' disappearances, she did however notice that they had all become a little tense everyday in their absence, she brushed it off as worry for their friends, herself and Pansy were sat in their dorm talking about nothing, the evening was chilly, the windows showed no sea-creatures in sight, looking out looked like looking into a bottomless pit of nothingness.

The girls noticed the late hour and decided to sleep.

"Night Iz, do not wake me up any earlier than 10, it is the weekend and I am knackered," Pansy sighed as she got comfy,

 "I won't," Izzy laughed.

It wasn't long before the girls both fell into a deep sleep, they both lie as still as the lake outside, faint breathing could be heard from the pair.

Izzy had the fortune of a dreamless sleep, it was rare for that to happen, usually she would be left with disturbed imagery that consumed her every thought.

Nightmares that would rock even the bravest of minds.

For some reason though, her mind was telling her to wake up. Her unconscious body twisted and turned on her bed, trying to find a comfortable position, she felt herself slowly wake up.

She rubbed her eyes and lay staring at the dark ceiling. Her gut was telling her something was wrong.

The room was quiet, too quiet. She groaned and sat up, she looked over to her roommate's bed and to her shock, Pansy's silhouette was nowhere to be seen. She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her in the dark room.

She blinked harshly trying to clear her vision.

Alas, the empty bed was not a trick, she quickly turned on her bedside lamp and looked at it in confusion. She grew worried for her roommate, as far as she knew, Pansy did not have any classes at this ridiculous hour, the clock on her desk read 03:46.

Izzy decided to look for her as her mind would not let her fall back asleep due to the anxiety she had for her missing roommate.

She put on her slippers and a dressing gown and made her way to the common room. The castle was silent, only the faintest of snores could be heard and the odd creak in the walls.

It wasn't too dark, she could just about make out where she was going, she didn't feel like getting a lamp or using her wand in fear of getting caught.

For whatever reason, the girl felt she knew exactly where to go, only having attended the school for a couple days, this was quite the surprise. She left the dark dungeons and made her way upstairs, she travelled the dark hallways, admiring its beauty. The castle was grand. Almost ridiculously so.

She walked past what seemed to be nothing but a blank wall.

Though her gut was telling her otherwise.

She turned and faced it with curiosity, she put her ear towards a little crack she saw, it appeared to be hollow?

The faintest breeze could be felt, tickling her ear slightly, she backed up and stared at it with furrowed eyebrows. She was about to continue on until she heard a voice, a man's voice. Whoever it was, was angry, it was quiet but angry and it was coming from within the walls.
