It was a long night after the surgery for the Grimes Family, waiting for Alycia to wake up.
All of them were at Alycia's bed as the others were outside of the house, sometimes Glenn or T-Dog would pop in the room to check if everyone needed something. All Glenn wanted was to talk to Alycia again.
She had been stabilized in the night, but it was all too fast. Like a blur. Shane came back. Otis died. Hershel did the surgery. She stabilized.
When the morning came along, so did the others from the traffic snarl, it was Daryl's motorcycle, a Hyundai and the RV. All of them started to prepare with the Greene's for Otis' funeral. A funeral without a body. In the room, Rick, Lori and Carl were beside Alycia's bed as Hershel was next to the girl, hand on her head to check for a fever.
- Fever's gone down - Hershel informed.
Alycia was in a lot of pain, that was something she knew for sure.
She started to move a little in her bed, all she could think about was that she had never felt pain like that in her whole life. When she finally woke up, she was in a complete daze, not knowing where she was, or what was happening. And, when she finally opened her eyes, she saw her father over the bed, her mother in the corner of the room, both with crying faces.
- Oh God! - Alycia groaned out in pain, after trying to move out of the bed and sit up.
- Try not to move, sweetie - Lori reassured her, gently pushing her back down into the bed with her hands. Hershel told the parents to not let out of bed, in case her stitches were to rip open.
- Where is he? - Alycia questioned her mother, moving her eyes around the room, looking for Carl. - What happened? Where are we?
- Calm down, it's ok - Rick told her. - You were shot.
- What? - She gasped, trying to sit up again, ignoring her mother's pleas to stay down.
Rick was the quick one to hold her back down gently.
- Aly, listen, you shouldn't be moving too much, you could rip your stitches - He asked her tucking some of her hair behind her ear and out of her face, smiling slightly at the fact that she was awake. Alive. - A nice man named Hershel fixed you up. This is the farm we're on - He told her.
- And Carl? - She instantly asked again.
- He's fine... He's great, I promise you - Lori answered, a bright smile present on her face. - I'll call him for you.
- Did we find Sophia yet? - Alycia asked her father when her mother wasn't in the room.
- Not yet - He whispered.
- It's a nice farm? - She whispered, feeling all the hurt.
- It is. You will love it. The Greene's - Hershel's family live here. They're all very nice and welcoming - He told her.
- Did the others come here too? Glenn? Daryl? - She whispered.
Her father made a surprised face when heard Dixon's name.
- Yeah - He told her.
- I'm so sorry, Aly. I didn't protect you - He whispered.
- You didn't know, dad. It's ok, I'm alive - She said trying to hold her hand. - You got me here, I know you did.
- I never ran so fast in my life, you know. I thought I was losing you, my baby girl... I couldn't hand it, I'm so sorry.
- Dad, look at me. Come on, I'm alive. I'm here, because of you. You did this, you brought me here, you'll always protect me, I know this - She said.
