06 | Wedding Day

Winter POV.

Time passes by, and I'm getting ready for my wedding. As I look I look at the mirror, I saw myself suffering but at the same time I want to cherish this moment.

The door open and I excuse my make-up artist. It's mom.

"You look so beautiful, my dear. Enjoy your wedding. It's cost a lot". She giggles.

I faced her and I look at her head to foot. I know it's rude but I can't help it.

"Then, why do you want a big wedding when it's okay if it's just a small and simplier". I said. She sigh and fix my hair as I look at the mirror.

I know my mom loves me the most but she's not speaking for herself. She's in my father's shadow anytime they discuss something.

"I know you're gonna love this wedding, it's your dream to have big wedding with the man of your life". Her words cannot comfort me. It's making it worst. And I don't want to burst my anger on my mom. She's just like me, in a prison but it's better if she's gonna save and fight for me.

"It's worst, mom. It's more painful than marrying someone you don't love. It's a one sided love, and I am the one who suffer". One tear drop rolled in my eyes. I wiped so that she can't notice.

She notice that I am upset, so she excuse herself and exit the room.

Mother's know's best. But why can't my own mother notice that their decision suffocate me. They're drowning their own daughter so they can float and survive.

I can help to think if my existence is just investment for them.

My own thoughts chattered when my three best friend enter the room.

They look gorgeous on their dresses. Light pink with pink roses. My theme are pink and gold.

"Happy wedding day! You'll enter a new chapter of life, and i'm here being lonely for 20 fvcking year". Reign hissed and complain. Yeah no boyfriend since birth just like me. But the difference Reign has many crushes but she can't decide if she love or like him.

"You're being a baby, of course. Can't you see? You're being delusional for wanting a real prince charming that came out in the book. Ridiculous". Blaire said while fixing her hair and making faces.

"How can I trust, man? But why Winter here, she have a real life prince charming?". Reign whining and wiping her fake tears.

Oh no... He's a real life jerk straight out of the book. But I admit he is really a handsome one. I have a good taste. Handsome but don't have feeling for me. Hahaha keep dreaming.

Knock....knock.....knock...

"I'm sorry to interrupt but the ceremony will begin in 5 minutes". The organizer said and I nodded.

Caroline take selfies before exiting the room.

My heart pound, I am freaking out. My mouth can't even say a word. I am sweating so badly. This is gonna be a long day.

The organizer, organize everyone to their position as I look outside and wondering.

The weather is good today, very sunny breeze hitting my veil and it's look magical.

The ceremony are magical and full of love. I wish all of this are true. I left out a big sigh and I heard laughing beside me.

"You look nervous, Ms. Winter". Oh it's Cloud's best friend I think, what's it's name again? Oh Aiden?

"Oh don't Miss me, just Winter afterall you're Cloud's best friend". I wave my hand as a gesture that saying it's a 'no'.

"Nonono, I know I'm hot but I'm not part of Cloud's circle of friends". He laughed and I look at him weirdly. If he's not Cloud's friend then what is he?

"Ow you're curious, I'm Cloud's secretary. He don't want a girl so he hire me". He smile and I nodded. He gestures that his partner is Blaire.

"I have to go back to my place, the ceremony is going to start. Nice chatting with you Ms. Winter". He bowed.

"No, just Winter please". I feel old calling a Miss.

"I can't, Cloud will not like it". He said.

"As if he cares". I wispered and I think he didn't hear that.

He go back to his place and everything went silent.

One step closer

It's my part to walk down the aisle. The curtain of the church open and I slowly lift my head as I saw the man of my dreams. Smiling like we're inlove. My parents join me to walk down the aisle but I was stunned and locking my eye contact to the man infront of me.

Cloud took my hand and we slowly approach the priest.

The ceremony went blurry, I want to cry but I can't. It's not a sad tears, it's a happy tears. My thoughts brought me to the reality when the priest announced that we are husband and wife.

"You may now kiss the bride". The priest said and I nervously stood infront of him.

He lift my veil and his hand place on my cheeks as he kiss me gently. I close my eyes and cherish the moment. He pulled away quickly and face the witnesses of the wedding.

But as I face the people why eye caught a figurine standing near the church giant door.
